We hired Matt and the Pennington Phillips team to carry out the architectural design for our kitchen extension. Matt did an extremely thorough and professional job and went above and beyond his remit several times. I highly recommend.

Matt has helped us with the first half of our home renovation project, which was creating and drawing up the plans we wanted and giving us feedback and advice, applying for planning permission on our behalf and speaking to the Council regarding our property plans. He then created building regs documents for us. He’s given us confidence and determination where we first were clueless! As we now get closer to choosing a contractor and starting works we plan to have Matt involved throughout the project to ensure all his exciting details and ideas are incorporated and that the build is carried out to a high spec. So pleased to have Matt on our side!

Matt was helpful and professional at all times. I am not a property person and so I struggle to understand how the industry works and get very frustrated by it. Matt is a safe pair of hands who was able to take me calmly through the process, even when at times all i wanted to do was punch somebody! He does what he says he will do and delivers to reasonable timelines and manages expectations efficiently. He was able to oversee all the different professions involved in the project and act as the central point of reference. Ultimately, I trust him and that to me was crucial.

Pennington Phillips did a superb job for us, involving an extensive renovation of a small property. We worked with Matt Brumby and Stanley Phillips. They were really adept at design – both the overall layout and the attention to detail. They also found excellent contractors and liaised with them closely throughout. Importantly, the whole thing was done in a collaborative spirit – they were very open to our own ideas – and they were a pleasure to work with. We were delighted with the end result. Highly recommended!

We were recommended to Pennington Philips by several estate agents in Hampstead. Matthew, Stanley and team were always courteous, friendly and very creative with their ideas. From the very beginning of our building project they showed a clear understanding of what we wanted to achieve. Our initial concern with our home was the lack of light. The main living area was narrow and gloomy. This was overcome by their vision of a glazed side extension which opened up the back of the house, allowing light to flood in and also providing a spectacular viewing area onto Hampstead Heath. There were very few problems with our project. This was due to Matthew and Stanley communicating well and helping us through the decision making process at all times. We are totally delighted with our home and wholeheartedly recommend PenningtonPhillips without hesitation.

We knocked down our house and rebuilt it from scratch using Matthew Brumby's architectural services at Pennington Phillips. Overall we were delighted with the finished product. Matthew was a pleasure to work with and provided us with guidance and support throughout, at times, a very stressful project. Pennington Phillips designed the house from scratch, and then submitted the plans to the local authority, and once approved helped choose the builder, and liaised with the builder until the project was complete. We wouldn't hesitate reccomending them for future projects.

Pennington Phillips have managed the design, planning permission, tender process, party wall agreements and on going project management of my basement conversion. The service received from Matthew Brumby and his team has been second to none. They took the time to listen to our plans and concerns and designed the scheme accordingly; and have really gone above and beyond to make the project run smoothly. There ended up being a number of complications (none due to the fault of Pennington Phillips) which the team have worked really hard to find a solution to without too much delay to the overall project nor massive escalation in costs. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pennington Phillips.

We were doing a kitchen extension in a typical North london house. Well do you need architects, you might ask? We did indeed ask it, and tried to busk it for a bit. Then realising that was impossible we went for some architects - long meetings with cameras and weird distance guns merely produced limited drawings and more expense. Then we found Matthew Brumby at Pennington Phillips. Great drawings, after listening to us, impressive attention to detail, a sense of aesthetics but also flexibility and - worth repeating - a habit of listening to the client. Careful project oversight too. The result: a fab extension, beautiful as fresh now as when it was done five years ago.

Kommenterade: what is the covered area for this project.Hi, it's resin bond and yes this can be used in small areas but obviously costs more per sq m the less you do. It will also require a good base such as concrete/tarmac with a good fall.

Kommenterade: FloorDark stained oak engineered board with factory finished satin oil. We also used the boards to clad the stairs. They were cost effective and a fairly standard timber product.
