Duket Architect Planners were great partners to us in preparation for our home remodeling project. We have a 1938 Tudor style home where we added on a significant first floor master suite, converted a garage stall into a first floor mud room accessible through the garage, opened up/remodeled the kitchen and refurbished the basement to accommodate a lounge area and an office/spare-bedroom concept . They were great thought partners here, ensuring that we were able to build in the modern conveniences we desired while not losing the charm of a vintage home. Finally, the addition was very well designed by this team. We constantly receive compliments from neighbors and passers by on how it seems like the new portion was a part of the original home.

Mike Duket was a pleasure to work with. Our family thoroughly appreciated the attention to detail, creativity and design that went into building our dream home. Joe Thourot was the perfect compliment to Mike as they collaborated on achieving the style we were seeking. They encouraged our input through the entire design process. Mike and Joe also worked patiently with our builder (as he did with them) all the way until the end!

I worked with Mike Duket and Joe Thourot on the development of our home and later on an associated greenhouse design. I believe that the essence of a good design is that afterwards, would I change anything? I wouldn't change a thing at all, I am happy to report; this after spending 3 years in our home. While we went to extensive lengths to include 3D modeling in addition to construction drawings consisting of 35 distinct documents, this effort, in my opinion, actually aided in my reduction of overall cost of the projects in view of the specificity of the Duket Team's work. The Duket Team's work also ensured that our expectations were met in every way.

We purchased an old home in 2013 desperately in need of love and updating. Mike Duket and his team did all of that and more. We call the house Heron View. In updating the house, Mike Duket maximized our view of the river while retaining the historic character of the old house. We made a small addition of a mud room, laundry room, two car garage and yoga studio. He added a clerestory to provide light in the hall/stairs leading to the yoga studio. What a spectacular touch! He is a master of little details that "kicks the overall impression of the house up a notch". We have a garage courtyard flanked by a 2 car and 3 car garage. Mike added a curved mahogany door which elevates this common area. We ended up with a revitalized old house ready for the next 100 years.
