Michelle Ruben Interior Design

Michelle Ruben is an interior designer based in Los Angeles. Although she began her artistic at an early age with acting and painting, design is her passion. In 2004, she launched Michelle Ruben Interiors — a multi-disciplinary studio that quickly established itself as a front runner in high end commercial and residential design in Los Angeles. She went on to win the Best of Houzz award 4 years in a row. Michelle's mission is to enrich people’s daily lives through exceptional design, bespoke details, and artistic solutions. Her work and vision are distinguished by a medley of different styles, invigorated with mediterranean influences, comfort, and modern refinements. She draws inspiration from a variety of influences such as Horst P. Horst and Avedon photographs, as well as the paintings of Johannes Vermeer. Michelle has designed interiors, exteriors, products, and furniture. Her trademark approach is infused with minimalism, abstract expressionism, and contemporary luxury. She's crafted a language of design that speaks to her clients, which ultimately, at its heart, is an elevated approach to commercial and residential spaces. For her, each job is an exciting journey and a new opportunity for creative expression. Michelle approaches work and life with a sense of joy that is infectious. She is known for her warm, outgoing personality and developing a closeness with her clients that feels like family.

Michelle is an incredibly talented, responsible and reliable, hardworking professional. She brought beauty, luxury, style, function, and comfort into my home. She reflected my personal vision, taste, and needs, but also pushed me in some areas with her experience and judgment that brought the style to a whole other level. Per my request, she worked day and night and did my whole house (4,100 sq ft) in a very short time (weeks), and kept me updated on budgets and helped me make tradeoffs. She is very honest, and helped me save in some areas so I could invest in other areas. She has access to workrooms, in addition to designer-only wholesalers, so opened my eyes to a whole new world of options. Lastly, Michelle is a loving, deeply caring, and soulful person. I was starting a new life, and was blessed to find someone who brought that kind of loving, strong, and positive energy in her demeanor and work, but ultimately into my home. I continue to work with her as I continue to evolve and build my space. I couldn't recommend her more highly.
