BEST OF HOUZZ 2017 SERVICE - Mindy McVay is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and the Interior Design Society (IDS). A two-time recipient of the “Homebuilders Association” Award for Excellence in Model Homes, Mindy’s commercial, residential, and hospitality interior design projects have won recognition throughout the southeast. She also was featured in the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center ABC's of ADAC. Throughout her career Mindy has been featured in various periodicals and news articles and has contributed to several decorating advice columns. Yachts in the Caribbean, Jack Nicklaus' home, Models in the Grande Dunes and the Pawleys Plantation Clubhouse are a few of her prestigious projects in recent years. Originally from Columbia, SC, Mindy McVay’s design expertise since 1972 encompasses all styles of design and offers a comprehensive range of services from space planning to turn key projects.

Mindy is great. She listens and is great with color. Has saved us making expensive mistakes as only a good designer can. Nothing was too much trouble and our finished project is awesome. I would highly recommend Mindy. You will not be disappointed.

Mindy McVay has an amazing combination of extraordinary talent and personal character. She works with dedication and brings her humor and joy to the process. Listening is a lost art. Asking for opinions is rare. I love the way Mindy does both — she she’s every project, whatever the budget, as a creative development of art and livability, ultimately. But it’s her client’s art and her input is based on that. She puts her lifetime of knowledge and access to furnishings and products to work for her client’s environment. I wholeheartedly recommend starting a project—a new home or condo or a renovation update, an outdoor sanctuary or a bathroom redo—by calling Mindy. A consultation will be well worth it and the ongoing relationship will lead to a stunning project and if you’re lucky, lots of laughter and friendship.

We have had the pleasure of working with Mindy on several different design projects for our home. We love that she listens to our ideas and brings them to reality within our budget and has made our home so welcoming. We feel very comfortable working Mindy, she is very professional and not pushy! I was really impressed with what Mindy could do with such a small bathroom. Even though it is a master bathroom, there was no shower originally built in. My job necessitated going into the closet for shower space but nothing suffered! I ended up with a nice, calm, monochromatic bathroom I could actually enjoy spending some time in. Great soak tub...nice job Mindy!

Mindy came into our home and did a great job from refinishing hard wood floor and kitchen cabinets to updating our existing living/ dining area and kitchen. She was very willing to use pieces of existing furniture and work around that to update the entire look. Colors are brighter, which we wanted, and blend so nicely together. We love what she has done !

My wife and I were thrilled with the master bath design that Mindy came up with. She was able to give us a luxurious layout in a relatively small space. She was prompt and professional and certainly exceeded our expectations.

Mindy has always been such fun to work with! She has wonderful ideas, but also listens to what your taste, idea and budget is. We worked with Mindy on vacation properties, investment properties and our personal home. I could not recommend Mindy more!!

Mindy was so easy to work with and made the daunting task of simplifying my home easy. She came up with so many creative, low-cost ways to make my home beautiful and comfortable. She was brilliant at color selection, floor plans and developing a cohesive design from my existing furnishings. She has an excellent team of professionals. I would highly recommend her for any size project.

Mindy McCoy helped me stage a home for resale and she did an excellent job. She was extremely creative at using existing furnishings and suggesting new purchases to freshen the place up. She was very professional and easy to work with.
