I just completed my second project, and I could not be happier! As a repeat customer, there are so many things about them that I value. First, KDC brings a turnkey solution to every project. They have fabulous designers (thank you Lane !) who get to know you, understand what design style works best for you and your family, and are also knowledgeable about the latest product solutions that are available. They are extremely organized! KDC has been in the remodeling business for 20 years. They know exactly how long a project should take, they assigned an experienced project/construction manager to every job who keeps you informed every step of the way. My manager was Mike and he is so professional, focused on customer service - whether that is making sure the driveway is clear, I know when the water might need to be turned off for a few hours, or ensuring the work is done right the first time! KDC also has an amazing group of trade partners that they have worked with for years. They are thoroughly vetted, trustworthy, and do excellent work. As a homeowner, I felt entirely comfortable having them in my home. The finished project is just beautiful! This is the second time I have used KDC to redo a kitchen in a home. I loved using them and would give them my highest recommendation!

Please consider Kitchen Design Concepts for your next remodeling project. They are not cheap but do what they say they will do and if certain things don’t go right they fix it at no charge to you. Our kitchen remodel was entered into design competitions and pictured in magazines. We expect the same from a more recent bath remodel and have already had a photo shoot. Ask for Katie. She is a great designer, good at solving problems inherent to individual projects and tries to keep within your budget!

We are repeat customers of Kitchen Design Concepts. They did a complete kitchen renovation for us in 2008 and we were so pleased with the experience that we contacted them again in 2021 for a kitchen refresh as well as a complete renovation of our primary and Jack and Jill bathrooms. While it might just seem like the easy thing to go with the familiar, we came back to KDC for many reasons - from the design phase through installation we had such a great experience with the KDC team. Open lines of communication are critical and we were always kept informed of the status of the job, who was going to be be working at our house and even backorders (it was 2021, the year of the backorder, so to be expected). We threw them a couple of curve balls as well, but they patiently worked with us to ensure the final outcome was what we wanted. Lastly, they listen - at the end they actually asked us what went well, what when wrong and what they could do better. We have been thoroughly delighted with everything - they are truly a great (and fun) group of people to work with.

Stop shopping around and hire Kitchen Design Concepts. Their planning process, which is absolutely key to the success of any project, is second to none and the people are dedicated, talented, and kind. They delivered on everything they told us to expect and got us back into our house a couple of weeks early and on budget. The results are just beautiful and we haven't had one moment of buyers remorse. When one of my friends and her husband had their kitchen+ remodeled by KDC, I watched their process very closely to see what their results and experience would be. Like everyone else, I've heard so many horror stories of remodel/renovation nightmares that I was determined not to live through that if there was any way I could help it. My husband and I had been dreaming about updating our kitchen and public living areas for 17 years, literally from the moment that we moved into the house. It's a 1978 home with an original galley kitchen. Even though we loved the vaulted ceiling in the living room and how it flows into our sunroom, we wanted to bring it into this century and open it up. Without the nightmares. I read every KDC review on Houzz during my research of companies. The reviews were entirely consistent with what my friend had shared with me about her experience with KDC. After our first conversation with Mary-Katherine, we felt very comfortable moving forward and we have zero regrets about our choice. Our designer, Rebecca, listened carefully to our design tastes and spacing needs and did a great job of narrowing down finishes for us to review. Our kitchen is beautiful and so functional now. She's very professional and was proactive when one of our cabinet pieces came in with a flaw. Before we had even seen it, she had ordered the replacement. Ed, the foreman, was very organized and did a good job of telling us what to expect along the way. And as opposed to a lot of other companies, most all of the sub contractors have been working with them for years and years and don't disappear on them to do other jobs. KDC has created a family at their company. Every project has its bumps and ours did have a couple. I can't say enough that the way that those bumps were handled were far better and above what I've heard about with other companies. And because of that, I know that I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again to do another project. They take great care of their clients and work very hard to make sure that you're happy with your project. We especially enjoyed our home-away-from-home during the three months we were out of our house. Thanks for the memories, Mary-Katherine and Katie! We miss our easy access conversations. :) Again, just hire them. :)

Right from the first meeting where we discussed what we wanted to accomplish, to the design review, to the selection of materials, it was great to see the professionalism and knowledge of Erica Illions who was our designer. She ensured that the project kicked off the same week we signed the contract and was also the project manager who was on top of all the contractors that did all the work. KDC finished the project within 5 weeks from start to finish and we were very impressed with the quality of work. They surely are the best Design-Build firm we have ever used. Thanks again to Erica for her personal engagement and involvement without which the magic would never have happened.

Kitchen Design Concepts remodeled our kitchen/laundry room/living room and did an outstanding job! Very skilled professionals who gave us sound advice, an excellent floor plan, and executed it with a minimum of hassle for us. They responded in minutes to any requests and concerns we had and handled every detail. The finished product is stunning! They are quality people who cared about making our experience positive. We selected Kitchen Design Concepts for the kitchen and bath design, cabinetry, fixtures and appliances for our whole house remodel in August 2019, then the October 2019 Dallas tornado trashed our project -- just as we were ready for interior paint -- and we had to start over. Even though what became a total rebuild took about 21 months, KDC stuck with us the entire way, going above and beyond when all kinds of delays and unforeseen occurrences (like COVID-19!) happened. The result is we have a beautiful "new" home that surpasses what we dreamed and hoped for. We cannot say enough about how everyone on the KDC team worked seamlessly together to get the job done under very difficult circumstances. Their desire to please and striving for our total satisfaction are unmatched. We would not hesitate to choose KDC again for any size project and suggest you consider doing the same.

Mary-Kathryn was so knowledgeable about Naturkast cabinetry, and provided excellent guidance in configuring our outdoor kitchen. She is a good communicator and was always prompt in responding to all of my questions. The cabinets are fantastic and Kitchen Design Concepts provides great service.

It’s been a year and three months since KDC finished our kitchen+ remodel, and my husband and I are still talking about how much we love it! KDC took our kitchen down to the studs, opened up doorways, removed headers, and created a walk-in storage closet in an adjoining bedroom. Everything has held up so beautifully, and there is not one thing we would change if we were to do it again. Our designer, Rebecca, was flexible and creative, coming up with ideas that we'd never even thought of. She's not a hand-holder — don't expect her to sweep in and tell you exactly what to do and which colors to pick. She's more of a guide, offering options and helping you to make decisions that fit your taste and feel right to you. Our contractor, Ed, was awesome. He was so attentive and answered every question. My husband is super handy and a scenic designer, so he was very detail-driven and observant. But Ed and his subs were responsive and patient. We always hear the nightmare stories about renovations — double the budget and nearly double the time — but we rarely hear the dream stories. Our process with KDC was a dream. They actually finished two weeks early! We exceeded the budget, but only because they found and addressed plumbing hazards under the house. From the design through the final touches, we felt respected and heard every step of the way. We’re so happy that we chose to work with Kitchen Design Concepts. We were very pleased with the process and result of our projects with KDC. They did a kitchen update and also a built in shelving/murphy bed unit in our den. They are a professional and efficient team. We will definitely go back to them for our next project!

Erica and team were fabulous! The before and after pictures tell it all! It was an amazing effortless (on our part) transformation. I would highly refer Kitchen Designs Concepts for all your remodel needs. We did the homework and interviewed several companies and they were by far the best!

We used KDC to bring our kitchen from the 80s into 2020, open up our tiny utility room, and convert a wet bar into a closet. All of these spaces are now more functional and look amazing; KDC helped transform the very dated house we bought into a home that feels like us... We had a good experience with the company at every stage of the process. We enjoyed working with our designer and trusted our project manager; everyone we worked with at KDC is extremely knowledgeable about design and architecture/engineering. We trusted them more than other contractors we had in the house doing other projects and wished we had just chosen them and their recommended subcontractors to do those ancillary projects. The workers were courteous and excited about what they were doing; they always showed me what they had done that day when I’d go check in. They started and ended on time... I would recommend KDC for your home reno projects; we will definitely be reaching out for bathroom remodeling.

In 2005 KDC transformed our formica-laden 70's kitchen in a home we were slowly renovating, The home was recently sold and the kitchen, though 15 years old, was a key selling point. Kitchens usually are important. But it was KDC's knowledge, creativity and skill that produced a design that retains its beauty and utility after so long, The excellent appliances will wear out long before the appeal of this kitchen, There is nothing I would have done differently and that's the ultimate judge of any reno job. Kitchen Design Concepts recently completed a major renovation of my kitchen, living room and dining room. The results exceeded my expectations. Great company to work with--it was important to me that the firm be affiliated with NKBA and NARI and that it's women-owned was a bonus. The designer they gave me was excellent--really listened to what I wanted and worked with me graciously even as I kept changing my mind! The construction foreman was also great as were the subs they brought in. Respectful of me (lived in the house during the remodel) and my property and very responsive. I love my new kitchen and laundry room as well as the renovated master bath and foyer. Great experience from start to finish.

Where do I begin? Our kitchen remodel process was a pleasure from start to finish. From Jennifer and Mary Katherine’s overview of the process to Rebecca and her design expertise, listening to and collaborating with us, to Ed’s (project manager) kind, patient, and conscientious manner-we loved the experience. I can say that every single subcontractor who was in our house was professional-we actually enjoyed them being around! Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the entire KDC team! They recently finished a fantastic makeover of our 1964 New England style home in Dallas and we couldn’t be happier! The remodeled kitchen and bathrooms are otherworldly, and the rest of the work they completed in our home is superb (hardwood floors, fireplaces, wallpaper, woodwork and even the exterior). We basically ended up with a new home... all while preserving the charm of the home with a nod to its era over 50 years ago. I never would have told you that moving out of our house for several months and doing a major renovation would be fun... but I have to tell you, it really was! KDC did a beautiful job of remodeling my kitchen. Abigail was my designer and she was a joy to work with. The layout she designed is so much better than I had thought possible given the narrow room she had to work with. She included so many nice touches that I never even thought to ask for. DALLAS PRESTON HOLLOW REMODEL I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome of my Kitchen Design Concepts (KDC) home remodel. KDC is actually a bit of a misnomer as they did so much more than just my kitchen. They updated my entryway, dining room, kitchen, wet bar and laundry room. I have a Dallas Preston Hollow home that is over 40 years old with all the challenges of a 1970’s home design ― every room was a “box,” ceilings were low and every ceiling was different (flat, small vault, large vault with beams and mansard). I wanted to update my home, open up the floor plan and create an inviting design ideal for my own enjoyment and conducive to entertaining. KDC had all the answers and they were such a pleasure to work with throughout the project. They brought impressive credentials and skill sets to the project that made all the difference. The co-founders (Mary-Kathryn and Jennifer) both come from professional consulting backgrounds and I really appreciated the business professionalism. Mary Kathryn worked up a contract and “Job Scope” document that was very detailed, which was great for me, the homeowner, as I understood exactly what was to be done from demolition to project completion. The trades involved in my project were outstanding and benefited from the detailed instructions in an on-site job scope document so, there were no misunderstandings and mistakes in the execution of the project plan. This level of planning was invaluable. And Ed, my project manager, was so organized and on top of things start to finish. Kicking off the project I met several times with KDC’s designer, Rebecca, who was able to capture everything on my “wish list” and guide the design to a achieve even more than I’d hoped for. She actually has a degree in home design (specializing in kitchen and bath remodel) and her expertise was so apparent in the finished product. By the end of our collaboration we had a plan to: take out load bearing walls, pillars and an unsightly fur down in entry/dining area and laundry room put engineered wood beams in attic to support the attic/roof raise ceilings a foot and design one flat continuous ceiling across entry, dining, kitchen gut kitchen down to sheetrock & studs gut laundry room and as it’s a passage way to back family room, made it an attractive combination (hidden) laundry and butler’s pantry so, serves as an entertainment station for family room re-run plumbing, electrical & gas lines replace kitchen cabinets (WW Woods Eclipse, Lancaster Heatherstone), counter tops (3cm Cambria Delgatie quartz) , appliances (Jenn Aire kitchen appliances, stackable Electrolux washer and dryer hidden behind a beautiful floor to ceiling cabinet . . . and my favorite: a Liebherr 80 bottle columnar wine fridge!) And Mary Kathryn was instrumental in getting me some very advantageous pricing from the appliance distributor I am so happy with KDC in every regard. They quite simply transformed and opened up my living space and I absolutely love it! They delivered on everything they promised. Their trades and work were of the highest quality. They met or exceeded project deadlines, which is so unusual in a major remodel. I’m actually going to miss the people that worked on my project ― they were such a pleasure to get to know.

We used KDC to do our original kitchen re-model 15 years ago, then hired them again to do our kitchen re-fresh this spring/summer. Needless to say ... we think they are the best. Super knowledgable, trustworthy and friendly owners, employs, and contractors. KDC is a top-notch outfit on every level. I highly recommend them, and have recommended them to our family and friends!

KDC killed it! We are so in love with our kitchen and could not be happier with the hard work and dedication of Mary Kathryn, Ed, Rebecca, Jennifer and Katie (as well as all the other countless members of their team). We had been contemplating a kitchen redesign from the moment we bought our house, but found the process completely overwhelming, as we were doing a full gut and remake of our kitchen into an open floor dining/kitchen/living space. We had interviewed several contractors, and KDC was not the cheapest, but I believe the best. From the moment we met Mary Kathryn, we knew we were in good hands- she had a very structured and detailed approach that seemed to combat our previous concerns about nightmare remodel projects we had done in the past. My spouse and I are both very opinionated, detailed, (and unfortunately, indecisive!) and we were running up against a very tight timeline (arrival of our first baby) so we knew we had to get this right, and have a team in place that could move quickly and help the two of us navigate our sometimes wildly differing opinions on how the kitchen should look and feel. The scope of our project got bigger and bigger, and so the team was able to adapt and make some game time changes to accommodate us. Overall, KDC was very responsive, professional, and dedicated to getting it right. My spouse is an amateur woodworker, and so he was extremely particular about the look and quality of the walnut cabinetry- at one point KDC mentioned he could fly out to Canada and personally inspect each cabinet panel if he really wanted (let's just say me, his very pregnant partner, was not very keen on this), but that goes to show the level of commitment that they took to make sure we were satisfied. We were also very happy with the GC Ed, who surprised us in many ways by working super hard on the weekend or after hours to make sure we stayed on track with our deadline. Once we came home from a short weekend away and found that the entire floor had been laid a week ahead of schedule because he and the team had taken the time to do work on the weekend. Rebecca, who did the main design and layout, was relentless in making sure we had the right flow and dimensions- and entertained some of our wild ideas, while also pulling us down to earth when we needed it! Even several months after the project completed, we had a problem with a couple of our drawers, they immediately addressed the problem, and definitely stand behind their work. I find this odd to say about a contractor, but I actually missed them when the project was over, and we look forward to working together on something else in the future.

I've never worked with a designer before and am so glad I contacted KDC for my master bathroom remodel. Abigail took my initial ideas, tweaked them, then brought them to life. She came up with a great floorplan for the bathroom that made excellent use of the space (we removed one wall and moved 2 others to get the best floorplan). I loved her creativity as well as her ability to communicate. We ended up on budget and the results are even better than I had hoped for.

Kitchen Design Concepts completed a gut renovation of our kitchen and laundry room. In addition, we had our hardwood floors on our main level refinished. The kitchen was a major undertaking, nothing from the original footprint remained. New appliances, floor to ceiling cabinets, counters, new gas lines, water and ventilation, new floors, etc. Long story short – the project was extensive! Nonetheless, the project was completed on time, on budget AND we LOVE the end-product. This project was our first renovation and we couldn’t have picked a better company to partner with from start to finish. Rebecca was patient throughout the design process and answered any and every question we had along the way. In addition, she offered many ideas and solutions which greatly improved the outcome, both functionally and aesthetically. From the designers, to project managers, the subs and the owners – all parties were thorough and professional. We’d not only recommend them, we’ll partner with them on future projects, as well. We chose Kitchen Design Concepts to build our dream kitchen after a huge amount of research. We are extremely fastidious and have high expectations for reliability and quality work. Well, we were not let down, like we have been in the past. Everything was completed perfectly and we could not be happier. Our kitchen was constructed to our timeline and everyone who was involved with the project was professional, totally reliable and sensitive to our needs ( as we had a new-born) and you can trust this Company to do what they say. Kitchen Design Concepts just completed an extensive renovation project for us including a guest bath, refurbished stairway and an extensive remodel of our Master including flooring and some excellent custom cabinets to cover two large floor safes. All of the subs were meticulous with their work and highly professional. We were provided a comprehensive budget in advance and all projects came in on budget exclusive of a couple of minor upgrades we requested. We were very pleased with the finished product and would not hesitate to use Kitchen Design Concepts again.

We approached KDC to redo our kitchen and master bathroom. We knew what we wanted but needed KDC’s expertise to conceive, plan and execute the renovation. The process from planning through construction was professional, detailed, on time and on budget. The owners, staff, and subcontractors were all exceptional. KDC did a excellent job and our experience could not have better.

The KDC Team is AMAZING. From start to finish they knocked it out of the park. Professional, kind, patient, detailed, talented and understanding...they made our renovation an enjoyable process (not many people say that). My wife and I started with a simple idea about renovating the house. KDC came highly recommended from our neighbor and they did not disappoint. Since we had never renovated a house before they laid out each step and how the process would work. The level of detailed even impressed me (and I am a bit OCD). Each room was given a section and a book was produced for each so their subs knew just what was expected. Everyone was on the same page. The budget was even spot on. Our GC was calm and answered any and all questions I had throughout the process (I feel bad for asking so many). And for the BIG one: they nailed the time frame. KDC went above and beyond on our kitchen project. Our designer, Susan, was great at providing guidance and suggestions but also listening to us. We like having one project manager, Ed, who was always on top of everything. It was important that we have good, regular communication, a clear idea of the costs, and a clean project site and this team excelled at all of these. We were also impressed with the different crews who worked on the kitchen. They have all been with KDC for years and we’re so polite and professional;I was comfortable giving them access to my home. We plan to use KDC next year to remodel our bathroom and we’ve recommended them to friends.

These people were great. They came up with a great design and were willing to tweak it until it met out wants and needs. They consistently met commitments. Great attention to detail. Skillful workers: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tile, and countertops. Any issues that came up were dealt with quickly and professionally and to our satsisfaction. We love our remodeled kitchen.

We had lived in our house for 40 years when we hired Kitchen Design Concepts to remodel the 55 year old kitchen. From the first meeting to the final punch list, they were respectful, professional, and kind. They listened carefully to what we wanted, which was a gut job, but a design that was in keeping with the age and style of the house. They managed to give us more floor space without tearing out walls, something we simply could not afford. All of the people who worked on the project were efficient, skilled and extremely pleasant. They always arrived promptly, and cleaned up at the end of each day, Jennifer is a perfectionist, and insists that each job is done to her satisfaction. I trust her completely. She made sure the contract was carried out to the last detail. We think of her often, because every day our kitchen makes us happy.

We had a wonderful experience with this company! Chris and Rachel listened carefully to my vision for a new kitchen. They researched diligently for creative solutions in my space. The installation was timely and of the highest quality. Jennifer came to my home upon completion to check all of the work. Months later when I requested additional shelf holders for a cupboard, they mailed them quickly and directly to my home. Working with this company was the best part of our complete home renovation. I can't say enough good about them!

I finally have my dream kitchen thanks to Kitchen Design Concepts. Mary Katherine, Jennifer and Co. were recommended to me by a highly regarded designer who has known me for years and knows how particular I am and how much I enjoy cooking. Mary Katherine and Jennifer are both excellent cooks and understand what a kitchen needs. From the very beginning, they listened to me and worked very hard to get the look I was after. If a request proved to be beyond our budget, they always had an equally attractive replacement to offer. Mary Katherine is a genius at keeping track of all the budget details, Jennifer is amazing at all the construction details and Ed was such a wonderfully experienced project manager with a warm smile for us every morning. Our designer Rebecca excelled at the difficult task of fitting in all the detailed storage spaces and still making it all come together beautifully. The entire construction process was as painless as could be even considering the extensive work that we had done. We stayed in the home during renovation and I was here every day with 4(!) chihuahuas all in one room which turned out to be suprisingly easy. All the workers were here every day at the same time and all left at the same time. They provided me with a timeline and a break down of what would be happening when so I was never wondering about the progress. I love organization and this company has it in spades. Every sub contractor knew exactly what was expected of them due to this organization and Ed keeping them all moving along like a machine. And on top of everything else they are all just really nice people. Ed told me on the first day that he wanted me to have a smile on my face every time I would go in to my new kitchen and I have. It has been completed for several months now and there is not one thing I would change. Needless to say, it was completed on time and of course on budget. We have enjoyed our new kitchen immensely.

The contractor Ed, and crews were amazing. Very disappointed in the professional kitchen designer and the amount of mistakes that were made. Our kitchen turned out very nice, but not without a lot of stress and angst over the entire project.

KDC rocks! We hired them to design and install all of cabinets in our new home in lieu of the so called "custom cabinets" which are finished on site after install. We are extremely satisfied with the end result. They have several manufacturers to choose from as well as hundreds of options to fit almost any budget. We would definitely use them again.

KDC did a fantastic job on our kitchen - it was a complete re-design, and they did a great job maximizing the space and making our kitchen feel twice as big. They were timely and professional to work with. We feel confident that they did good, solid work.

Kitchen Design Concepts transformed our kitchen and master bath into exceptionally functional and aesthetically soothing rooms. When we first started working with KDC, they asked a lot of questions. They were learning not only our personal tastes but our lifestyle needs. Their proposed designs included ideas we would have never thought of on our own, even after looking at thousands of pictures on Houzz. Their designs immediately resonated with our own style and elevated our expectations. They included us in all the decisions and always had recommendations and encouragement when we were having trouble on our own. The demolition of both kitchen and bath were complete, down to the studs and concrete, even moving some walls, plumbing and electrical. At the same time, they damaged nothing even as they had to traipse through rooms we were occupying during the project. They did their best to limit the dust intrusion to other rooms, but our open layout meant a lot of dust. We constantly felt as if they were respectful of our home and our needs while living there during the project. Living in a construction zone did get old at times, but the end result was worth it. Their project management plan was thorough and detailed which promoted confidence early in the project that lasted through to the last day. They promised we would be happy, or their job wasn’t done. We’re happy, and now they are done!

Kitchen Design Concepts did a complete overhaul of our kitchen this year. They were true to their timeline, easy to communicate with throughout the process, and were respectful of our home by keeping dust managed (I was pregnant during the process) and helping us set up a temporary kitchen. Their advice throughout the renovation was invaluable. They had great suggestions about designing a kitchen for kids, what appliances I should buy based on my cooking level, and how to furnish and organize everything once the kitchen was complete. I never want to move now that we have a fabulous, beautiful kitchen, but, if we are ever in the market for this service again, they are the only company I would use. You pay for what you get with them and KDC delivers an elite service on every level.

My husband and I live in a 1950’s ranch that really needed updating. When our vanity mirror crashed to the floor during the night, we knew the time had come to redo the bathroom! After searching for the right kind of professional, including architect, contractor and big box store, we found Kitchen Design Concepts. From our first meeting with them, they provided everything we needed from excellent design assistance, to selection of high quality materials, dependable workers and subcontractors and quality workmanship. We had our small kitchen redone. KDC was very receptive in maintaining the style and ambience that we wanted in our 1930's home. The designer offered a great source to locate beautiful soapstone for the countertop and lower cabinets to match our current ones that weren't removed. Then they painted the kitchen beautifully. Everyone was very professional and always swept and cleaned up each day.

We hired Kitchen Design Concepts to do a complete redo of our kitchen. It was very small for our house and impractical for the amount of entertaining that we do. They demolished the entire kitchen in two days. This project involved moving several water lines and moving support walls and support beams. The project site was always kept clean and the owners were onsite for every inspection and they passed each one on the first time. The schedule was kept very well and each step went smoothly. Our kitchen is unbelievable. Next job. My outdoor kitchen.

We first met with Mary Katherine and Dru to discuss our desire to remodel our kitchen and breakfast room. They were very open to listening to our wish list and then took some measurements of the area. Dru created a plan and then met with us to go over the plan and make any adjustments necessary. They were both kind and very easy to work with. We changed our mind some throughout the project and they along with Jennifer worked well with us. We had a complete kitchen and laundry room renovation by Kitchen Design Concepts about six months ago and are very pleased with the results. Though I had a clear idea of the design for my kitchen, I was very glad to have guidance by KDC throughout the design and renovation process as there were many details I was unsure how to best handle so relied on their opinions often. We are extremely happy with the cabinetry that KDC recommended as well as the fixtures and appliances. The experience of the staff and tradesman was quite apparent during the entire process and we felt very comfortable that the work would be done with competence and care. We contracted with KDC to remodel our Kitchen, Dining room, and install flooring throughout the house. One of the reason that we chose KDC is that we wanted a single point of contact for all of the work including floors, cabinets, painters, appliances, and electricians. They provided design drawings, a schedule, and a fixed bid before we started the project. When there were change orders they provided pricing and approval before doing the work. The project included moving the sink to an island. This required significant trenching of our slab for plumbing and electrical connections. The trenching made me nervous, but the results were great. Our project was scheduled for 10 weeks. We were back in our kitchen in 10 weeks although there were a few minor details that were finished a couple of weeks later. They were honest and respectful when it came to our budget. If we started looking at choices outside of our budget they would recommend alternatives. The team including a designer, construction engineer, painters, carpenters, electricians, and a flooring contractor all worked well together. At the end of each day they would clean up the work area before they went home. We were able to work through KDC for any issues and they were responsive when we called. We were pleased with the process and we love the results. We would highly recommend Kitchen Design Concepts for any kitchen remodeling project.

We hired KDC to gut our kitchen and butlers pantry and replace the cabinets, countertops, backslash, floors and most large appliances. We agreed upon a start time and a finish date. The finish date was very important, as we had a wedding to plan for our daughter, with many of the associated activities taking place in our home. KDC managed to do the entire job and get us cleaned up and functioning exactly as agreed. The entire management and crew were friendly, personable and pleasant. Our calls were always answered promptly. Any concerns were addressed in a timely fashion. Would (and WILL) hire them again for future renovations.

I asked Kitchen Design Concepts to replace all of the cabinets on the first floor: Kitchen, living room, 1/2 bath. They were great looking with quiet closing doors, space saving turn tables, and deep drawers . Best of all were the drawers behind cabinet doors that closed themselves (no more broken martini glasses). Shortly there after, I had the cabinets throughtout the second floor replaced. They gave me more quiet doors and self closing drawers. They asked the right questions and listened to my answers. Voila - a comfortable home. What else could a 64 year old single guy ask for ....well......maybe someone to share my comfortable home.

We hired KDC for a complete kitchen and laundry room remodel. Our project involved taking down walls, doing a complete gut job to the studs and even replacing old electrical work and going to a tankless water system. The team at KDC did an amazing job and they were so easy to work with, both from a design/idea standpoint as well as helping us stay in budget but get the most bang for our buck. KDC stayed on schedule and on budget. In the end, we have a beautiful new kitchen and a great entertaining space. We have received so many compliments on their work and have recommended them to others considering remodeling work as well. I really can't recommend them enough. They were professional and helpful every step of the way and they do the job right the first time (no corner cutting or "hidden" issues). They are upfront about the time and cost to do it right and we never felt pressured to agree to something we didn't really want or couldn't afford. From our first meeting with Mary Kathryn at the showroom through the wrap-up of the Punch-list items with Jennifer, we were impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail and passion for their work. Our designer, Kristine, listened to what we wanted and was very patient as we finalized the various color and material options. The KDC crew (Mario, Lem, Jeff, Junior, Sergio, Carlos) did outstanding work for us from demolition to finished project – we couldn’t be happier! We were fortunate to have been involved in building our home 20 years ago, and while we were completely satisfied with the floor plan and the kitchen work triangles, we were very tired of the outdated back-splash, border (ick!), the white-painted cabinets, granite countertops and the ceramic floor tile. Our goal was to renovate the Kitchen and Powder Bath – and if the budget allowed, also replace the cabinets/countertops in the Butler’s Pantry and Great Room, both of which are visible from the kitchen. We were thrilled when we got the estimate from KDC for doing our entire dream project – it was less than a bid that we received from another firm for just the Kitchen and Powder Bath. One of the key factors in the success of our new kitchen was a homework assignment that Mary Kathryn gave us after the initial plan was laid out. We were to take a couple of weeks to simulate how we would use the new cabinets, drawers and pull-outs to see if the plan needed any tweaking. Going through the simulation, for normal day-to-day and holiday cooking, highlighted a couple of cabinets that we wanted to have configured differently. Much better to do on paper than on site! Project Management is definitely one of KDC’s strengths. As retired I/T professionals, we were thrilled to see our project laid out on a timeline – from Temporary Kitchen set-up to Final Punch-list. Jennifer’s goal was to get us into a functional kitchen in 10 weeks – KDC was successful in attaining this goal, despite us adding a few Change Orders, one of which was repainting the 22-ft. tall Great Room. Jennifer wasn’t on site every day, but we could count on her to show up and oversee any complex installations. It was obvious that there was a lot of trust and respect between Jennifer and her crew, which also extended to the third-party contractors that KDC used for our project. Everyone who came to our house was very courteous and professional – the expert craftsmanship definitely shows up in the finished product. I am writing to highly recommend Kitchen Design Concepts. We totally redesigned a kitchen and butler's pantry in Providence, RI while we were still living in Dallas, TX. The staff, and in particular the principals - Mary Kathryn Reese and Jennifer Sherrill, were very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Because this was a long distance project, they not only flew to the site twice, but were able to liaise very efficiently with the on-site project manager. The entire project came in on time and within budget - something that is not usually achieved. A couple of pieces of cabinetry came in damaged and were immediately replaced with no questions asked. Lastly, the design advice given was terrific and has resulted in a beautiful and highly functional kitchen.

I was impressed the first moment I met Ms. Reese and Ms. Sherrill; both are wonderful women who showed my husband, our project and me nothing but respect, professionalism and enthusiasm for our new kitchen. I had always wanted my dream kitchen and in 2009, we were finally able to afford it. I was new to the area and had no idea how to go about finding the company to do the job. Through searching the internet, I stumbled across a newspaper article featuring a remodel by Kitchen Design Concepts (KDC). I called and set up an appointment. My first meeting was with Mary Kathryn (Ms. Reese) and I *knew* immediately that this was the company we would use. Mary Kathryn asked the right questions, was well informed, answered all of my questions thoroughly and gave me the feeling of absolute confidence in her and her company's abilities. Mary Kathryn is upbeat and truly gets excited for her clients! Her (and everyone at KDC) treated this project as if it were their own kitchen. From the moment we began, KDC was with us every step of the way. (I did interview two other contractors, only to find I didn't feel the same trust and confidence as I found with KDC.) I wanted a thoroughly modern kitchen; here in Texas "modern" isn't the most popular of styles. However, KDC's designer (Katie Bacon) was able to create a design beyond my dreams. Whenever I was unsure of a design option, KDC was there to provide insight, answers and **honest** advice. Not once was I ever pressured to exceed my limits or to say "yes" to something I was not one hundred percent comfortable with. During the beginning of the project, I mainly dealt with Mary Kathryn and Katie. Both were always available to take me to showrooms, studios and manufacturers so I could compare appliances, other products needed, and to check out design options. What should've been incredibly overwhelming was managed perfectly so I didn't freak out! (ok, I might've freaked out a *little* but I was just so damn excited!) Once all the plans were in place and the construction began, I mainly dealt with Ms. Sherrill (Jennifer). Jennifer rocks! She's thorough and knows her stuff. I have never felt so comfortable with a contractor and *knowing* **everything** would be up to code and beyond. The new kitchen was a major overhaul -- walls were torn down to open the breakfast area to make the kitchen one big room. Floors had to be ripped-up and laid back down. Every inch of my existing kitchen was removed to be replaced with the new. Every day, work started and ended on time. At the end of the day, the major messes were cleaned and the area quite tidy. KDC kept the work area to the kitchen... very little mess and/or equipment ever ventured farther than the kitchen or immediate area. The room was cordoned off with plastic sheet "walls" so dust and such would be contained as much as possible. Of course - as with any construction project - there were a few hiccups here and there; but absolutely nothing major. Well, there was one major thing -- after Jennifer had removed some walls, there was an unexpected fire-sprinkler pipe that hadn't been mentioned in the house's plans and that pipe needed to be rerouted. This brought work to a stop because Jennifer wanted the recognized fire department's/city representative to do or approve the work. I was so grateful because I knew other companies would have just done the work themselves not knowing if it was up to code or not. Jennifer got all the city and fire ducks in a row and this problem quickly - and responsibly - became a non-problem. I also have to praise the subcontractors. Yes, on any given day, the house was full of people (workers); however, every subcontractor made it a point to introduce themselves to me, provided me with answers to my questions, introduce his or her's crew, and always encouraged me to ask questions and not to hesitate to call. Also, every employed person was able to speak English. This was so important to me because in the past I have hired companies whose employees working at my house spoke very little, if any, English. They were nice men and quite polite, but if I noticed a problem or if either of us had questions for the other, we could not communicate. This was never an issue when working with KDC or their subcontractors. The finished kitchen was amazing (I say "was" because unfortunately we no longer live in that home). It went beyond my expectations. Is it crazy to say I truly grieve for the loss of my kitchen? Whenever we hosted parties, people were truly blown away -- even if the modern style was not their cup of tea. Our kitchen was even featured in the Dallas Morning News! So, would my husband and I go with Kitchen Design Concepts again? YOU BET!!!!! As I type this, the company is in the process of completing a new designed-from-scratch kitchen... also a separate laundry room and master bath. I wish you could see it and I hope they post pictures... Mary Kathryn and Jennifer truly know their stuff. They are trustworthy and ethical. And the best is they are good, good people who are genuine and funny. I've heard them talk about other clients; it is always in a good light and with respect. I have also never met a client who didn't feel the same way about KDC as I do. Bottom Line: KDC ROCKS

After receiving an over-our-budget quote for factory cabinets from another cabinet company we were referred to Kitchen Design Concepts. Our kitchen planner sent over our space plan and preferences to KDA ahead of our meeting so that when I say down with Mary Kathryn Reese, she had a 3-D design all laid out, cabinet choices based on our preferences, and best of all hit our budgeted amount perfectly. I remember feeling so relieved. KDA took all the stress out of purchasing the cabinets. Mary Kathryn Reese, partner Jennifer Sherrill, and their staff are a joy to work with. They take such an interest in your home, offer great suggestions, and are in frequent contact throughout the project. They kept the project on time and on budget. Kitchen Design Concepts did a complete kitchen and master bathroom remodel for us a few years ago. Mary-Kathryn and Jennifer were professional and meticulous. The proposal and scope of work that they gave us at the beginning of the project was complete and required very few changes (or extra charges) as the project progressed. Their time estimates were very precise. They finished within a couple of days of a three-month, major remodel. We loved the plan that they developed for our home and they were able to maximize the space we had in a relatively small home. Ultimately, the remodel that KDC did for us was instrumental in helping us to sell our home when we move a couple of years ago. Couldn't be happier. After initial discussions with multiple general contractors, one meeting with KDC convinced me they were the company to handle my complete kitchen renovation. The project involved a full demolition and a newly configured kitchen design. Every phase from project management to design to construction went exceedingly well. While the kitchen represented the bulk of the project, I did also have KDC perform work on several other areas of the house including bath, bedroom, and living room. They went beyond my expectations with that work as well. My job required a significant amount of travel during this time. KDC was able to listen to my design wishes and incorporate those seamlessly without requiring my constant availability. I did a major kitchen remodel with KDC and could not be more thrilled with the process and the outcome. Remodel of kitchen and 2 bathrooms we were so pleased very early on in the project that we added the second bathroom. Best contractor experience ever. The kitchen cabinets were a little tricky, they pulled it off fabulously. All staff and subs were at A+ to work with.

I was extremely pleased with the work performed by Kitchen Design Concepts. They provided a turn key project, minimizing the disruption to my home and the amount of time required for me to monitor the project. They were extremely organized and professional and always showed up as scheduled. The quality of the work was excellent. Their subcontractors were neat, and I felt comfortable having them in my home, even when I was at work each day. I would recommend Kitchen Design Concepts without hesitation.

Did a great job about 5 years ago. Removed walls, and enlarged and remodeled the entire kitchen from top to bottom. We continue to be happy with their design, their work ethic and the end results. Would make only very minor changes if we had it to do over. Highly recommend KDC and have already recommended to others.

My wife and I came to KDC by accident and little did we know how lucky for us. We started with a simple project in our 1923 East Dallas bungalow that would merge the small dining room with the small and awkward "L" kitchen. The goal was to create an eat in kitchen space with the proper appliances to allow my wife to show off her true skill. And then have a place to enjoy her creations other than the sofa in front of the tv. We hired a GC who originally was to custom build the cabinets, but after seeing their installed work we were shocked that the homeowners we visited were oblivious to the quality this GC claimed as custom. Here are some of the GC comments; soft close drawers/doors are real expensive and don't work, Spraying the hinges with paint is fine because who sees it, everybody uses granite because it is the best, Wainscot will close in the room too much, and my favorite, a custom 50sf skylight right over the middle of the space, that is going to make our job so much harder. And of course they stated, that will be too much light and It will only leak so they would take no responsibility. We should have run from him but stuck it out with this GC. We walked down to MK and Jennifer and what a pleasant surprise. We learned everything we wanted was possible from soft close to custom finishes that are applied like the cabinets are works of art. MK looked over our plan the GC has come up with and we explained it just wasn't working for us. "May we provide some options" MK asked? Well the design was perfect! The optimization of space, storage, comfort, openness, flow, and functionality are perfect. She saved our kitchen project. We created a custom furniture looking hutch with a custom color and glaze that makes such a stunning impression. While our GC was far too intimidated to install the beautiful cabinets, they did hire out a trim carpenter who did a very good job. But it wasn't until after we starting living with the cabinets that the KDC talent was fully realized. The function was perfect. From storage solutions, to a microwave drawer, and the amazing pantries on each side of the fridge. But even more, after MK came for a visit, she sent one of her employees to fill the nail holes in the hutch. With the custom color and glaze, it was like watching an artist finalize their piece to perfection. The nail holes are virtually invisible. We are so happy with MK, I would write on and on. While these projects do not come at a small price, the people you entrust to create your dream are maybe the most important element. KDC is without a doubt focused on the details, the design and the functionality to make sure your project is a success.

Kitchen Design Concepts took our kitchen from boring and frustrating, to beautiful and efficient! Mary Kathryn, Jenny and their team of professionals worked with us to bring to life our vision for our kitchen and home. The quality was top-notch; the construction crew was professional, as were the painters, electricians and all of the other people who came into our home. What is often described as 'frustrating' was actually a pleasant experience for us. We highly recommend Kitchen Design Concepts for any kitchen or bathroom remodel or renovation. Our home was chosen to be on HGTV because of our kitchen remodel!

Complex renovation of an 80+ year-old home with modern bathrooms (4), period bedrooms (2), and living room. Project included demolition to frame, structural supports (new), plumbing, electrical, carpentry, custom cabinetry, painting, design, special 'workarounds' to retro-fit design into the older infrastructure. If the project wasn't sufficiently complex from a design, fabrication, and implementation standpoint, it was amplified by the fact our family lived in the house during the project. Kitchen Design Concepts staff were professional throughout the execution. If there was ever a problem, defect, or delay, then they rectified the matter at their cost and completed the fix/rectification entirely to my satisfaction. They worked on weekends to assure the project remained on schedule. I had a young child on-site and never worried about safety issues as the worksite was always cleaned and secured upon the workers' departure. From a quality, performance, safety, security, and acceptance standpoint (Quality Check, Customer Acceptance), I was totally satisfied with KDC. I received bids from 5 companies for my six month project. KDC's was the highest price, but I selected them based on their experience, portfolio of past projects, references, and expertise (KDC was founded by professionals from the Management Consulting industry.) I have no doubt that in the end, KDC was the right choice and likely best performance from a cost perspective. I'm fairly certain the other bidders were low-balling their bids to win the project and I would have likely suffered from 'add ons' during the course of those other companies' projects. KDC was a first rate experience. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Very professional and well organized. They took the time to listen to what I needed in a kitchen remodel, and never told me what I "needed". Everyone was professional and incredibly considerate during construction. The designer went through every possible choice of materials in my budget to ensure that I was happy with my choices. Kitchen Design Concepts designed and constructed a beautiful, large, functional and contemporary kitchen for us. We needed more space and wanted an open feeling so in their design they took a fifth bedroom and converted it to a laundry room with additional refrigerator, sink, disposal and dishwasher and converted the existing laundry room into the kitchen design. They also added a 12 foot long window over the sink and a 12 foot island with a stainless countertop. They took the existing kitchen down to the studs and put in new walls and ceiling, new hardwood floors, new cabinets, granite counter tops and stainless appliances. Our new kitchen has an amazing WOW factor!! The Kitchen Design Concept team was great to work with. They utilized a collaborative approach to understand what was important to us and understand how we wanted to use our kitchen. They educated us on different styles, appliances and finishes so we could make informed decisions. Their expertise brought design concepts, construction knowledge and kitchen work flow and functionality. They worked off a timeline schedule so we knew who would be coming to our house every day and what would be accomplished, Their crews were very professional, always on time and left the space neat at the end of the day. Kitchen Design Concepts completed our kitchen ahead of schedule and within the original budget. In addition they helped us set up a temporary kitchen to utilize during construction and came in at the end of construction to help us organize kitchen utensils, plates, pots and pans etc. It was a wonderful experience and our new kitchen has transformed our lives. Working with Kitchen Design Concepts was a pleasure from day one. We completely gutted our kitchen, laundry room and 1/2 bath. KDC worked with us every step of the way - they performed their due diligence and thoroughly covered every detail from the start so there were zero surprises. They made great suggestions on the design and materials, and used creative ways to make the most efficient use of our space; however, they were also flexible in allowing us to provide input and use some of our own options. KDC has a long-standing relationship with their crews and they are professional, polite and were always there when they were supposed to be. The work and finish-out are high quality, top-notch - no shortcuts were taken just to get the job done. We were provided with a detailed project timeline and KDC kept us posted on the progress and made us aware of any changes. The job was completed ON TIME and we love our kitchen (and laundry room and bath). All of that is fabulous, but the most exemplary piece is that KDC takes complete ownership of the project, and the service does not end when the project is complete. We had a couple of very, very minor issues, one of which was 5 years after the project was completed - KDC made the repair at no cost to us. We have no hesitation in recommending them (and have several times).

KDC did our kitchen remodel in 2010. We loved that they are a one-stop-shop for design and build. The design was creative and practical. The process was as painless as a total kitchen remodel could be. The workman, both staff and sub-contractors were professional and neat. The kitchen is the most used room in the house and we enjoy the workmanship of KDC everyday.

We hired Kitchen Design Concepts (KDC) to replace out existing kitchen, which was badly in need of updating. This kitchen (and all of the appliances) was original to the house and was approximately 17 years old. It was poorly laid out, not very functional, dark, unattractive, difficult to keep clean, full of ancient (and failing) appliances and generally an embarrassment. This kitchen needed to be completely replaced. KDC spent the time to listen to and understand our life-style, interests, goals, preferences, budgets, and concerns. They developed a wonderful design and cost proposal that met our goals - functional, aesthetic and budgetary. They patiently worked with us to confirm the design and select materials, appliances, cabinets, lighting and other essentials that met our goals and preferences. They developed a workplan and time-line that helped us understand the actions that they would be taking and the time-frame involved. The project team that they delivered to build our new kitchen was top-notch - excellent at their jobs, very good communicators, trust-worthy and just plain nice to work with. They helped us move furniture from our breakfast area (which also was included in the project scope) and organize a temporary kitchen/breakfast space. They kept us informed of progress and any issues that required our involvement (of which there were few). They did a great job of keeping their work-space and associated work areas clean and organized. They did an excellent job of managing their subcontractors - plumbers, electricians, painters, floorers - all of whom also did a super job. Generally, the project went according to plan, although it took a few weeks longer to complete due to production and delivery issues with the cabinet vendor. The project was delivered within the existing budget, excluding a few changes that we requested. The kitchen has been everything we hoped for - very attractive and functional, with an updated and clean look, new appliances and fixtures and lots of space to work, mingle and move around. We knew we needed to update the kitchen. The designers took our ideas and needs and put together a complete package! We are thrilled with everything! The whole room is different-besides being absolutely beautiful-the function of the room is so much better. We can have more than one cook working and several people just visiting in the kitchen and it works. Everyone who worked on the project was professional and respectful of our things. They cleaned up daily, which is great on a big and messy renovation.

My wife and I are extemely pleased with the quality of Kitchen Design Concept's work. Working with Mary Kathryn and Jennifer and their team ended up being a lot of fun. First and foremost, they are incredibly meticulous and detail oriented. We've remodeled 5 different homes and KDC was by far the most meticulous in the planning and budgeting process. We spent a lot of time getting the details settled before demolition started which led to a very smooth construction process. They stayed on schedule and clearly communicated with us during the process. The only reason that we went over our original budget is because we liked the quality of their work so much that we enlarged the project to include two additional bathrooms in our remodeling project. KDC was extremely prompt in returning emails and phone calls when we had questions. They used excellent quality subs and their cabinetry is exquisite. I can't fully describe the number of very positive comments that we get on our completed kitchen, laundry room and two bathrooms. Beautiful quality work. And, at the end of the job, we still really like them (I can't say that about all of our previous contractors). I recommend them without hesitation.

We hired Kitchen Design Concepts to design and remodel our master bathroom. Not only did they deliver an amazing bathroom that met all of our requirements, they did it within the estimated time promised and within budget. Additionally, our bathroom was not your average bathroom, we needed a wheelchair accessible bathroom including a "curb less" shower. They came up with a design that made the entire room one level and basically a "wet room". They took the time to interview us and measure the wheelchair dimensions, my husbands eye height (for the mirror) and body height so the sink, mirror, grab bars, shower fixtures, etc. could be perfectly placed for our use. Their main crew is the nicest, most conscientious group of individuals we have ever worked with on a remodel. We will certainly use Kitchen Design Concepts again for our next remodel.
