We LOVE our new bathroom and Matt and the team at Podesta Construction were wonderful. Matt was very thoughtful about the project and gave us realistic expectations about the scope. We did additional work besides our main bathroom, so it was a bit complicated with permits and design. Brandon listened to our wish list and was so helpful with recommendations regarding design. He had great ideas and we are so happy with the final result. The actual work went great. Nick was in charge of our project and he was the BEST!! He kept us informed and involved at every step, so we always knew where we were in the project and what to expect next. Our home was protected and kept as clean as possible through the entire project. All the subcontractors did a great job. Nick's goal was to make us happy with our new bathroom and he did everything he could (we felt he went above and beyond our expectations) to make us happy with the project and our experience. We highly recommend Podesta Construction and the entire team.

We handcrafted custom historical retrofit windows for a Podesta remodel in San Francisco. Working within the strict demands of restoration work, the team at Podesta Construction proved themselves to be extremely knowledgeable and professional. The project comprised retrofitting fixed sash and casement units, and engineering a large traditional window unit with tdl's, all the while maintaining historical accuracy. Podesta Construction is an award winning contractor that we highly recommend.

The absolute best. We worked with Matt on the recommendation of a good friend. He was incredibly thoughtful and thorough, and selected the best subcontractors we could have worked with (painter, electrician, flooring, cabinetry, stairs, etc.). He never tried to nickel and dime, and was incredibly easy to work with. We will definitely work with him again.

This is a great company. My project was a motorized shade install with constructed soffits around. Podesta construction was the main contractor, and a subcontractor who I previously met was the shades/electrical/automation expert. Thee was a fair amount of detail required, and my expectations were met. Each step was as expected. The pre-visit was professional and appropriate. The documents were sufficient. The pricing was straightforward and met my expectations. We started at a time which seemed reasonable given the various items to be ordered. The work protected my house to the extent expected. All of those who worked here were appropriately professional, and they were responsive to small questions/comments/requests (all within reason, of course). the job finished in a seemingly appropriate time and the workmanship was high quality. I have a sense that if I have follow up questions or concerns in the future they will be responsive and helpful. I'm highly detail oriented and fairly demanding as far as responsiveness and precision, and they met these needs! Highly recommended!

We hired Podesta Construction for a major remodel of our home. Brandon Podesta provided the design for our project which included the addition of 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, complete reno of the kitchen, master bathroom and creation of an open concept with our family/dining room. The design has proven to work well with our family's needs. We were very pleased with the quality of the work performed by their subcontractors. Also impressive was the management of the project by Sam, the onsite foreman, and Matt Podesta. The site was kept very clean and any issues with neighbors were dealt with in a professional manner. They always kept us informed through weekly meetings and we did not feel pressured to spend more money. They kept within our budget and were on time. We would definitely use them again and have recommended them to friends.

Podesta Construction updated our small original 1930's kitchen and sunroom to a single galley kitchen. We came to Matt and Brandan Podesta with a general design and layout to which they made great aesthetic and technical improvements. The project pretty much stayed on budget. There were optional upgrades once the walls were opened up, but we never felt like we were being squeezed for more money. Our foreman, Steve, was always professional and courteous, and kept the house amazingly clean throughout the renovation process. The work took longer than anticipated, but was well worth the wait for the quality and attention to detail to ensure a beautiful result. We would definitely use them again.

We hired Matt & his team to install a large island in our kitchen as well as to move around some lighting and do some electrical work. The team was professional, respectful and did a very thorough job. We would gladly work with Podesta Construction again in the future.

I hired Podesta Construction to provide some improvements to our new home. The areas of focus included the kitchen and family room, and they did a fantastic job with both. In addition to having a very high bar when it comes to the quality of their work, they also finished the project on time and came in within the allocated budget. They were pleasant to work with and had great attention to detail - with everything from the cabinet pulls to their invoices. They provided good counsel about items for which I needed recommendations, but I never felt pressure by them to make choices before I was ready. I highly recommend their work and would be happy to hire them again if the need arises.

The best decision we made concerning our remodel was hiring Podesta construction. We had an extensive remodel done on an older home and the entire process was a breeze with Podesta construction. Matt and Jerry did an impeccable job executing and making suggestions to improve on our existing plans. They were patient with our repeated requests to change plans during construction, they used top notch subcontractors and they came in within budget and within our timeframe. They were extremely conscientious of our needs and such a pleasure to work with. We have recommended Podesta Construction to many friends and family and we look forward to working with them in the future.

Matt and his team installed a beautiful roof deck atop our home on Potrero Hill and, thereafter, renovated the entire ground floor of our home, transforming it from a standalone, studio apartment into a two-bedroom, one-bath wing (with a wine cellar to boot) that was completely integrated into the rest of our home. They also rebuilt the backside of our home, which had significant water damage prior to the repair.

Working with Matt and the rest of the crew at Podesta Construction was a good experience. All the members of the team were very professional and were very considerate of our family while they were working in our home. We are very pleased with the two new bathrooms and interior doors.

After spending a couple months researching design/build contractors to remodel our kitchen, we settled on Podesta Construction and we're thrilled with our new kitchen. We are the second owners of a house built in 1959 that was never updated, until we bought it in 2010. As part of the project, they removed a kitchen wall, moved a window, laid new wood flooring, and refinished the floors in the rest of the house. We now have gorgeous custom walnut cabinets that are perfect for our home and have more storage, space, and light than we thought possible. All of the fixtures, tile, stone, etc. are beautiful but, perhaps even more important, the Podestas, and the sub-contractors who they hire, are true craftsman who care about their projects and do excellent work. My husband is a former carpenter who can be very critical and almost comically hard to please and he has only positive things to say about working with the Podestas and the quality of their work. We're so happy with our new kitchen that we're planning to have the Podestas back to add a finished bedroom and bathroom to our garage and to install new windows.
