Plymouth Nursery & Landscape Company

I would not recommend Plymouth Nursery and Landscaping. They were misleading at every point in the project. They took full payment from our credit card in the second week although the contract said not until the work was finished. Then, of course they disappeared. It is 6 months later and the work is still incomplete. Their work is third rate at best. The stairs they installed are not square, a drain failed during the first storm, they shorted us on square footage of the project, they lied about timelines, did not clean up after themselves, never got permits, etc. From the owner to the project manager, they will ignore any request for clarification on your project. Avoid this company at all costs!

Plymouth Nursery & Landscaping Review Plymouth Nursery & Landscaping 1043 Belvoir Rd. Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462 In March of this year (2022), I contacted John Sheahan with Plymouth Nursery to get a quote to have my back yard graded and leveled then to install sod. I also ordered a cherry weeping tree, 3 bushes for the front yard and 8 forsythe bushes along the back fence line. The day John came out and gave me the quote I gave him a $2,500.00 check. He assured me as soon as he could get the sod he would install it. He told me the beginning of spring. I waited up until May before I started calling to get a date. I had already past the nursery and saw a skid of sod they were selling. He would never return my calls. When he did I pressed him.for a date and he gave me one. The day came and went without a single call. I finally got him to return my call with threatening himbto sue him.if he didn't return my deposit. The amount of soil he said he was going to use was no where near the actual amount his workers brought. I know this because I figured out he would have had to have 2 full dump trucks of soil. Ground wasbdug up and spread out, sod was laid and the bushes andbtree was planted. I was told there was a 2 yr. guarantee on all plant material. One of the forsythe bushes was dying and I called and left a vm for him to come out to look at it. All bushes were watered daily and equally. He has never returned my call as of August 19th. The bush is now completely and a couple other bushes don't look.well. Pictures are enclosed. I am disgusted on how they made promises and never kept them, Never returns my calls and won't honor their guarantee. I would never use them again . I have since looked closely at their reviews and many other people have experienced what I am experiencing. I don't understand how they remain in business.

HORRIBLE! Do not hire this company. Deceitful business and negligent practices. They started work without a permit from the township despite telling me they had this. 12 months later and still no permit and I have a stop work order from the township. They gave me incorrect information regarding the fire pit so i had wrong information about the tyoe of gas meter needed. They do not communicate as requested and I have had to hire an attorney to try to get my $ back. RUN!

We contracted with Plymouth Nursery because we were getting water in our basement with every rainfall. Since the water was only in one spot. John at Plymouth Nursery determined that a regrading of the back of our property would solve the problem. A swale was created and the ground close to the house and bilco door was graded to drain water away from the house. We also had some stonework done which we are very pleased with.Sod was laid over the entire re-graded area. The work was completed in under 4 days. Even though it was a muddy time of the year, the workers raked over their tracks, hosed down the driveway and cleaned up nicely. Since the work was completed, we have had a few heavy, prolonged rainfalls, and no water has come in. Very happy with the work John and his team did.

I fully paid for walkway and patio installation up front for discount offered. The project took more than 5 months and the crew showed up less than 10 times over that time period. I had to make countless attempts to get in touch with the company for updates and schedule changes. The overall quality of the work is ok but it was not a pleasant experience.

Joe DiJosia and his crew did a great job! The final results exceeded my expectations and I plan to hire them for additional work next year. Joe kept me informed as to the timing of the project, and communicated with me frequently as the work was being done. The crew were terrific - professional, helpful and they left the work site neat at the end of each day. I am now enjoying my new patio with built in firepit, sitting wall with lighting, new sidewalk to back deck with edging to tie everything together plus a separate landscaped area we co-created to attract birds. Beautiful!

I have been dealing with Plymouth Nursery for several years and have always found them to be quite prompt and professional. Joe DiGiosia is the salesperson that I deal with and quite frankly, my landscaping guru. I honestly have no flair for designing but Joe helps me see all the potential that there is and creates it in little time. I will deal with no other company than Plymouth Nursery.

It's always a pleasure to work with Joe and his crew. This year we replaced our back patio and steps because the patio was sinking and the steps were falling apart. Very dangerous. (The steps weren't installed that long ago -- by a different company.) Joe provided us with a picture of the design and a thorough description of the work. In total -- including a spring cleanup of the shrubs, etc. around the house -- the work took 7 business days, which is pretty much what we estimated. The patio looks even better than it did in the picture Joe provided. EP Henry paving blocks were used, in the blue slate color, which is actually a lovely medium gray and only slightly blue. The blocks have some texture that makes the color more interesting. The back steps were reworked to make them safer for the one in the family who walks with a cane. (Safety was one of our requirements and Joe took that very seriously.) We are extremely pleased with his vision and how the project came out. Joe's crew worked very efficiently and quietly. (Although there is always a certain amount of noise that can't be helped.) We parked our cars so that they could use our driveway and the crew cleaned up thoroughly every day so that we could make use of it at night. We have used them for the spring cleanup for several years; they always do a nice job and this year is no exception. (We received an estimate for our front steps and walk and will tackle that project next season.)

Design was presented with a professional computer drawing and list outlining work planned. Work was delayed due to weather, but finished product is just what we wanted. Jo Dijiosia was easy to contact and very responsive. Workmen were neat and did a professional job. The work included removing old concrete patio, old landscaping around the patio (including a tree), preparing the ground, and installing a new patio with walls, and new landscaping around the patio and adjacent to the house. Once the project got going, work was done weekdays except for rainy weather. We are very happy with the result.

I have used Plymouth Nursery over the years for numerous jobs around my property. Joe DiJosia is awesome and will give you the true low-down. Good landscaping is not going to be cheap. His company will do a great job for you. If you hire someone else to save money, you will probably be sorry. He tried to steer us clear of an approach to a landscaping another less expensive landscaper had suggested and we didn't listen. What a mistake. The bottom line is you can trust Joe DiJosia and Plymouth Nursery to do the right thing by you and perform beautiful landscaping for a fair and reasonable price, plus back up the work. When some of our arborvitae died within a year due to no fault of anyone's, his company replaced them at no charge. What more can you ask? Unlike many fly-by-night landscapers who might be cheaper, Plymouth Nursery is not going to disappear forever after your job is done.

Plymouth Nursery built us a beautiful patio, including an outdoor pizza oven and barbecue, with a pergola. John was very attentive to details and kept a close eye on the project's progress. They stayed on budget and on schedule and we're very happy with the result.

I am so disappointed with my patio! John DiJiosia did not give me a drawing or sample of EP Henry, he showed me a catalog! Nor did I choose how I wanted it layed out. He did whatever he wanted!! I called EP Henry because it looks nothing like what I saw in the catalog, and they said you never pick a color from their catalog. John calls himself a designer? Now I have to live with this. My lesson, get a drawing, samples, design lay out. My contractor said he would never work with him again. He was asking for money when he already had a down payment. That's a first clue!
