Parker and Son Construction

We saw a Parker and Sons sign in the Lodge in the 1300 community in Blairsville, Ga when we first bought property there in 2015. We called and spoke to a number of contractors in the area but we just felt a connection with Scott and Pat. They were professional and knowledgeable for sure, but they also felt non threatening and genuine. We have built several other homes in the US, but we had always been located close enough to keep tabs on the project. That was not the case this time. We lived a days drive away, and so we relied heavily on good communication from them- and they delivered! They always kept us "in the loop", sent us pictures each week or when we just wanted to see....They actually took us to look at other homes they built, took us to meet the various vendors, such as the cabinet maker, etc. We have never experienced such hospitality from a contractor! They made changes when we came up with new ideas mid stream, and never seemed to mind. They were sure to offer suggestions on things that they felt would work/look better based on experience too. It was truly a team experience, which we wanted. They are what we would consider a rarity in this type of industry, They are an honest, hard working team. They want to make the experience of building a home as comfortable as possible and they are willing to go above and beyond to do that. Scott- we appreciate all that you and Pat did. We absolutely love our house!!! If we had to do it all again, we would certainly want you involved! Thank you for everything... We consider you both our friends now. For anyone considering building in the Blairsville, Ga area you will be so glad that you at least talk to Scott for consideration on your project.

Three general contractors in the Blairsville area were approached and two quoted our project. One would only build his own models and was not considered further. Based upon our drawings, we were provided a cost estimate within our budget. During negotiations we developed a confident feeling that Parker and Son was our best bet. As construction proceeded we requested several changes and additions to the project. All requests were handled in a professional manner and we never felt that there was an excessive markup for any of the additions or changes. Sage advice was offered during the project to help us stay within our budget. The quality of materials and workmanship was excellent throughout by their forces and subcontractors. Service following construction and occupancy was superb and still is even after more than a year having passed. As a commercial construction general contractor for 25 years in the Chicago area I would have appreciated contractors who were as conscientious, straightforward and cooperative as Parker and Son have been. They earned our highest recommendation.
