Planet Furniture

Hi I wanted to share my experience of Planet Furniture (PF) to help others make their decision on whether to use them. It’s easy to be critical of poor service / products but it’s important to recognise those that exceed expectations…. I realised I needed a bespoke cabinet maker to fulfil my lounge / media unit requirements and decided on PF on the basis of their Houzz award. I had an outline layout, but PF were able to check my thinking and "finish" it off - improving symmetry, accurate measurements and adding extras such as a drinks cabinet and some lighting ideas. This was done through regular consultation with Talisa (the designer) and had to be done against a unit depth constraint of 40cm across a length of over 5m. We had a fitter for a week (including Saturday), Bill, who has worked closely with PF. He was exemplary – very meticulous in fitting, sanding down work surfaces where he didn’t believe the finish was good enough, improving the electrical layout. He also secured extra points from my very house-proud wife for cleaning up afterwards (finishing at 7pm on a Saturday evening!). We are expecting the units to be hand painted next week as they are currently spray-painted only – this is so they can be touched up if chipped at a future date. It is this level of thoughtfulness that my wife and I really appreciated. Thank you to both Talisa and Bill. In short, my recommendation would be to give them a call

During September, Plant Furniture refurbished our kitchen and utility room. They installed the original kitchen and utility room in March 2008 and they have worked so well for us and remain in such good condition that we decided to refurbish rather than replace. All of the doors, drawer fronts and decor panels were repainted a new colour, handles replaced and updated, door hinges updated, splash back for the hob replaced, a new mixer tap fitted and a new bin and recycling unit installed. From start to finish the service was very professional and the work well planned, executed and managed. The Planet Team arrived when they said they would; did what was planned and were a pleasure to have in our home. They were also very careful to ensure COVID restrictions were adhered to to protect us and themselves. We are extremely happy with the outcome and would not hesitate to work with Planet Furniture in the future.

Planet Furniture were simply superb from start to finish. High quality design and high quality furniture. Every aspect from start to finish was excellent. The people were a joy to work with and they genuinely took care at every stage to ensure we received our dream kitchen. I highly recommend them.

We were recommended by friends to check out this company when we decided to have a new kitchen. After a visit to their showroom and a chat with one of their design staff, Andy, we decided to go ahead and have all the plans drawn up and costed, all without obligation. We were helped all the way through the design phase including choosing colour, style, lighting, fixtures and fittings etc, and after a couple of onsite inspections, suggestions were made and we found we could all work together and the final design left us very impressed. We chose to go ahead with their recommended professionals for all the building, electrical, plumbing and plastering required to prepare the room for the new kitchen. All phases of the work happened on time, on budget with all professionals arriving on the advised day and time and all work completed by competent friendly guys all willing to talk, listen and answer questions as they proceeded. By the time all the "ground work" was completed it was time for our new kitchen to arrive and be installed. This took approximately 6/7 days and as we watched our kitchen take shape we could not fail to be impressed with the quality of the construction of each unit and the care taken in fitting it. The whole project was topped off by the hand painting/finishing of all the units. leaving us with our dream kitchen. Overall, it was expensive and there are cheaper options out there but probably not of this quality. Five Star all the way.....

Planet Furniture designed, procured appliances and furniture, and installed the all these items to form a new kitchen diner. This was a dry fit installation, as building work and changes to services were undertaken by a third party. From initial contact, and throughout the design stages, Andy at Planet Furniture was friendly and keen to achieve a design that I was 100% happy with. Installation of the kitchen by Planet Furniture was undertaken to the highest standard, and I am delighted with the finished result.

A very precise company great attention to detail with sound advice not at all pushy,they were not the cheapest however I firmly believe you get what you pay for,when we went a little off piste with from the original design but there was never a suggestion of extra cost A good company to work with

This truly bespoke company were recommended to us for the design and build of a new kitchen to compliment the proposed new Orangery extension. The project was structurally quite complex hence the need for a unique and bespoke design. The outcome has been perfect and the design has enhanced the newly created room that Westbury have built - overall we could not be happier. The service, craftsmanship and efficiency of the Planet Furniture team was first class throughout and we would recommend them to any one.

Andy our designer was great, he totally understood the brief and made some great suggestions, we implemented them all including knocking a big hole in one wall. Leanne was very helpful with everything regarding the payment schedule and contracts. We used Planets recommendation for the strip out and remediation work including new floors and plumbing, they did work together very well with Planet and between Frank and Neil resolved any issues. Our fitter was Craig who was exceptional - brilliant job. And last but certainly not least was Ellie who did an amazing job of all the hand finishing and painting. We have been delighted with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Planet Furniture to anyone wishing to have a beautiful crafted kitchen for their home.

We dreamt of a bespoke handmade kitchen and had spent many a year popping in to the showroom to gaze longingly at them. When the time came for a consultation I made an appointment and had a very relaxed and helpful meeting with Andy, one of the highly experienced designers. I knew exactly what I wanted and required his professional opinion and expertise to assist me with bringing it all together. His plans were fantastic and it was fun to see it all on screen so we could invisage our future kitchen. We agreed on a budget and Andy kept within that and fortunately we had all of the things we wanted without having to knock anything off. Andy had the idea of us building the pantry area and them providing the cabinetry. This was something which could have proved so costly and out of our budget but with his idea we were able to have one and it looks fantastic. The kitchen was delivered on time and Craig the fitter was extremely helpful and skillful and we were confident at all times that it would all go smoothly. Ellie arrived at the end of the fit to hand paint it and when we arrived home from a weekend away it was completed we were left speechless. The kitchen is utterly stunning. Planet Furniture is an incredible company to deal with and I am proud to own a Planet kitchen and would recommend them to all and definitely use again.

We visited a few other high street kitchen suppliers but didn't really get the service or support we needed to design our kitchen -having never had a new kitchen, we needed some guidance! From the minute we walked into Planet, Ruth made us feel welcome and relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble and, from a fairly short and simple design consultation, Ruth designed our dream kitchen. I had confidence in Planet throughout the project, communication is great, they visited my building site twice to measure up. Finally Craig, the fitter, was polite, professional and friendly. I have already recommended Planet to others and would use them again in a heartbeat.
