Rich Warchol Design

RWD designs and makes very good cabinets but as a contractor this company is terrible. Be carful using RWD, he doesn’t have the experience to take on all he does and he takes on too many jobs on at the same time. He doesn’t have enough crew to support them so he can’t complete your job in the time he commits to, his crew spends maybe about 3 hours a day on the job, and throughout the project there are many details that are afterthoughts or screws them up and has to do bandaid fixes. He also takes on more than he is experienced in doing. He installed a gas fireplace in my house and cut ceiling joist’s and roof rafters without replacing or shoring them up! And installed the fireplace wrong which would have resulted in carbon monoxide poisoning. On top of that installed the wrong venting next to roof rafters which could have burn the house down, but the fireplace would work, then we had it redone correctly by a professional. We had panel front appliances that rich made, and they’re out of square, Mia-aligned, the handles were installed crooked and loose and oversized the holes so now they wobble even when tightened. We spent over a $100k on kitchen, 2 baths, family room with fireplace and had to have second contractor fix and finish up so much. Rich took on our tile setting but as the job was progressing so poorly and Riches attention to detail was so poor we brought in a tile setter for tile because we had intricate cuts that Rich would have ruined. I would not recommend RWD but if so, onky for very small jobs to make simple cabinets, do not use as a remodeling contractor, he doesn’t know how to run a business nor manage projects!

Rich is the "cabinet GOD!" He was able to make my dream a reality. When many cabinet professionals scratched their heads regarding my non-conforming island requests, he took them all in stride and the result is nothing short of breathtaking! Were there bumps along the way and minor cost overages ... yes! Face it... there always are. The end product fulfilled my dreams and I'm a hard cookie to please!!! The photos do not do the remodel justice.

WORST EXPERIENCE ever with a "professional." We hired Rich to remodel our kitchen. After 5+ months of inconvenience, gross inefficiencies, and total incompetence, we were left with an unfinished kitchen, completely RUINED floors (see photos of his "fixes") and damaged appliances & countertops. Subcontractors regularly quit mid-project (he has a bad reputation amongst them), owners have to push project along to see any progress, and anything that goes wrong on the job is blamed on the homeowner. Totally unprofessional! Also, you are expected to be on hand every Friday at whatever time he happens to roll by with payment on hand, ready to turn over without reviewing invoices. Homeowner be warned! While some kitchens may turn out visually OK after an arduous process that goes over projected time and budget, I've spoken to others who've used him and all tense up and cringe at the asinine process. He should stick to making cabinets and not project management, general contracting, or anything else that requires precision, business or management skills. Over promised & under delivered! We were BEYOND PATIENT with this disaster and are left with a mess that he refuses to address.

Rich remodeled my kitchen. He did a fabulous job with the design and construction. In fact, he designed my kitchen with pencil and paper and then put it all into "scale". His creativity with the construction and the design exceeded my expectations. I had a very small island in the middle of the kitchen and it was removed, along with a non-functional corner cabinet and a 2015 updated kitchen was created. The cabinetry is entirely custom made from ALL wood. He updated by bi-fold door in my pantry with doors that opened and installed 5 wire baskets on the back of each door that created so much more usable space. All of these updates he suggested and 2 weeks after the completion I am enjoying my new kitchen. By the way....it only took ONE month! And that is exactly how long he said it would take. He did exactly what he said he would do. No surprises. From his talented sons who assisted him, to the electrician and plumber who have worked on numerous jobs with Rich, everybody was professional and conscientious. And in terms of his price, it was comparable to 5 semi-custom cabinet manufacturers that I price shopped but with much better quality. ALL of the semi custom cabinets had particle board in various parts of the cabinets. Rich takes a lot of pride in his work and truly cares about the outcome. Along with being talented, he is a very honorable, high quality person. When I update my bathroom, I know who I am going to call!

I had the pleasure of having my kitchen completely remodeled by Rich & his team. The entire process from designing it to the demolition and to the end result was flawless. Rich's knowledge in designing not only a functioning kitchen but a beautiful kitchen is top notch. Work was completed on time and communication about the process of what was going on was relayed to me daily. I was very impressed that this job was not left in the hands of just the workers, but that he was present several times a week to follow up and check on the progress with them. If your looking for a professional builder with creativity, thats extremely reliable and trustworthy..then I would highly recommend Rich Warchol Design for your next project. We are in LOVE with our kitchen!

He is an amazing kitchen designer, extremely visionary in his design, yet classic. His product is of the utmost highest quality custom cabinetry that can be obtained. Just had Rich do my island counter base. It turned out awesome. I've already had several compliments on it and it's been installed less than a week. Very professional company. Excellent work. This is my third project and I have loved the results every time!

Rich is an artist! When he came in and saw my space, he truly listened to my desires and ideas and then sat down right there and drew a sketch of how he envisioned the finished project. He sent a more detailed drawing a couple of days later, and we collaborated on certain aspects until it was perfect. I was so pleased at his willingness to work out the details until I was satisfied. When he and his crew came for demolition and installation they showed up on time and worked efficiently. The attention to detail was phenomenal. He then worked very well with the other companies that we had to coordinate for electrical and installation of the new gas fireplace. I now have a show stopper family room; everyone that comes in comments on how beautiful the fireplace wall is. I am looking forward to working with Rich again as I hope to do a full kitchen remodel in the future.

Rich just completed two rooms of crown molding that looks so very nice, every datail is perfect. He also trimmed out 3 difficult skylights with precision. His crew was polite, quiet and clean - very different than most workers I have dealt with as a homeowner. I would highly recommend his company and I hope to use them again in the near future for kitchen upgrades.

I hired Mr. Warchol based on the positive reviews on Houzz and accompanying photos of his work. I wish I had researched him more thoroughly. Luckily, I had Mr. Warchol complete a small project before contracting with him for a more extensive renovation to my home. The work was slipshod and caused damage to some of my personal property. Mr. Warchol refused to correct the problem or refund my money. I would recommend caution before engaging his services.

Rich Warchol is amazing! His designs and craftsmanship are second to none. The built-ins he did in my family room are more beautiful than I ever imagined. After we put the deposit down, the install was only a couple weeks later. He was always available to answer all of my questions and was a pleasure to work with. Rich is so very talented! Highly recommend!

Rich is outstanding at what he does. He is an excellent custom cabinet builder. He is extremely creative and he has a vision for the room you are remodeling. He is truly an artist. Rich is very pleasant to work with and has a great staff that will work with you to get you project done just perfectly. Now that I have worked with Rich Warchol on a couple house remodeling projects, I do not need to look any further for anyone else to do the work in my house.
