Remodeling Contractors was founded by Rollie Clarkson in 1985. Based on his core values, six individual companies teamed up under the Remodeling Contractors banner. The group is comprised of Fleming Construction founded by Zak Fleming in 2001, Imagine Interior Art and Design started in 1999 by Donna Alley, TechBuilders of Iowa LLC owned by Scott Spetman in 2014, Ridgeline Construction started by Brent Williams in 2012, and DB Building founded by Duane Berner in 2007. In 2020, Fleming Construction and Remodeling Contractors merged to create the team we have today! This means that we ensure a collaborative, professional, efficient process with the integrity this company was founded on.

We can't say enough how much we love what Zak & his team did with our project starting from day 1. Working with everyone, from design to demo to done, was such a great experience. Our project included remodeling a 1st floor bathroom and adding a second floor bathroom and walk-in closet to our master suite. Fleming's design team (Scott & Donna) made it easy and fun to weigh our options, utilize our space, and then actually pick out all of our fixtures, tile, paint, etc. Jason - our project lead - was great to work with. He always had an answer for our questions, and made sure that all of the work was top-notch. On top of that our house was kept clean and accessible throughout the remodel! And now that we've been settling into our new bedroom and bathrooms, we find ourselves loving the beauty AND functionality of the remodel even more! Can't recommend Fleming Construction enough - they're great!

My wife Patty and I had a supply line to the toilet rupture and it ran for more than 8 hours. After the restoration company completed the clean up they recommended a remodel company to us. To make a long story short, that proved to be a disaster. We used Fleming Construction for a kitchen remodel a few years ago, and they should have been our first choice. With our bathroom being in total destruction for eight weeks, from the previous contractor, I called Fleming Construction and they immediately came to our rescue. As before they came in, got the job done, and the results are beyond our expectations. Fleming Construction has quality craftsmen who are very professional in the way the treated you. We were very pleased with the three projects Fleming Construction did in our 102 year old home. They took great care to preserve the character of our old home while doing the updates we needed. The best part of using Fleming Construction was having a team to guide us through the process. Having a contractor, graphic designer, and decorator all working together to help with all the decisions was a big help. They also did a great job with staying on the timeline to finish the project and informing us about any budget changes we made along the way. We would enthusiastically recommend them.

I came to Zak and Fleming Construction with a small kitchen remodel project, replacing our counter tops and sink with quartz and a 60/40 stainless sink. He and his subs did a great job of locating exactly what we wanted for materials, and got things installed in a quick manor too. Zak and Donna were very friendly, extremely helpful, and easy to get in contact with whenever I had questions throughout the whole process. They were very flexible and worked hard to find what I was looking for design-wise while staying on budget. The construction crew was very clean and the project was finished within the time frame Zak gave me. My bathroom came out even better than I expected and I will definitely recommend them in the future!
