We recommend Ronni! Our yard looks great. She knows which plants do well in the area, how to make things flow, added a great mix so that something new is always popping up, and made the space usable. She stuck to the projected timeline. She even came back to replace the plants that didn't survive the initial planting. My one suggestion is to be very clear if you have high priority items and make sure they do not get cut or dropped as planning continues. Ronni was kind, reachable, made a gorgeous garden, and was on track with timelines - about everything you might look for in landscape design!

After redoing our home's exterior, our front landscaping situation was an eye sore. Ronni designed a large paver walk in a grand scale that aligns beautifully with the design of our home, with a large variety of plants and trees so that there is always something interesting to view no matter where you are in the front yard. I moved into a new house with lots of potential but didn’t know the area. I am so glad I met Ronnie! I didn’t want anything too formal but did need a lot done. She listened to me and really understood my esthetic and came up with a lovely plan. After interviewing several folks for our backyard project, everything clicked when we met with Ronni. How lucky to find Ronni Hock on Houzz for a very demanding project! Our newly constructed glass walled modern cottage was surrounded by depressing piles of mud obscuring former parklike views. RHGL/Ronni did a total renovation on our front yard/porch. Last evening after everyone left, we walked around the property and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. Phase II - 2018 The second phase of our project, as described below, was completed in the late fall. Ronni and her team meticulously executed a new, expansive patio, with beautiful large scale stepping stones leading to a firepit area and a newly-built pool house and greenhouse. A new entrance to the backyard from the side of the house leads down a walkway and through a pergola, making for an elegant entrance into the lower patio, which then steps up to the pool deck, complete with stone retention walls and new landscaping and plantings framing the surroundings. Ronni carefully selected several feature trees, as well as garden accessories, to be lit at night, creating a dramatic and lovely night scape. Her attention to detail, commitment to the quality of her work, and professionalism is unparalleled. She stands behind everything she puts in, and has treated our project as if it were being carried out in her own home. I thoroughly recommend Ronni. We couldn't be more pleased with the stunning transformation of our yard under her creative vision and detailed care. Phase I - 2018 I have admired Ronni's work in local landscape settings throughout the years, so we asked her to be in charge of our large-scale yard project. It is a multi-phase project, which includes improvements to our front entrance and the building of a gated brick wall leading to our backyard (Phase I), as well as an extensive re-design of our backyard in conjunction with the installation of our new pool and pool house, which will include hardscaping of a new patio and pool deck, fire pit area, pergola, kitchen garden, green house and extensive new plantings throughout (Phase II). We are doing a phased landscaping project that includes hardscaping/patio, stone wall, stone fire pit, pergola and various plantings. Ronni and her team renovated the foundation area in front of my home. From the initial meeting to the final installation the process was seamless. The selection of plants ensured four season interest and the flowers were in bloom throughout the growing season. We had a great experience with Ronni on a backyard project (adding a path, stone wall and stairs to the existing patio, as well as a considerable number of plantings). We contacted Ronni to come up with a design for an awkward portion of our side yard. Ronni designed a fire pit with surrounding plantings that connected this part of our yard to the back yard. We were very satisfied with the work and the professionalism of the staff completing the work. We've had dozens of contractors her over the years and most seem to be in a hurry to get the job done. Ronni's and her staff took there time to make sure the design was completed in accordance with renderings and they did a great job cleaning up after the project was complete. In the summer of 2014, we asked Ronni to design a complete rennovation of our property with new walkway, lighting, and landscaping. We were so happy with the work that we had her come out Spring 2015 to finish her design with more hardscaping and landscaping in the backyard - she replaced an old concrete ledge with a beautiful stone patio and added a boulder stair-case that adds a nice accent to our sloping yard while keeping natural look to blend in with the tree-line and stream in back. She built a lovely small vegetable garden for us on the side of hill with stone holding wall and swinging gate. For all of our tree selections, she patiently helped me select the varieties that would work best for our yard and my preferences. Ronni has completely transformed my yard. I have a very difficult site, dry, shady and poor soil. This project was to revamp the beds around the swimming pool and provide a screen from the neighbors. What was a sad dry mish mash of struggling plants is now a lush green garden that looks completely natural, as if it had been here for many years. Ronni worked directly with the irrigation company to design and install a system specific to the plants she had chosen. Her crew amended the soil and carefully planted each plant where Ronni herself had placed it. As a result everything that was planted is thriving. The backyard is now an oasis of large ferns and hostas interspersed with flowering shrubs. Tall hemlocks block the view of the neighbors and evergreen ground covers are quickly spreading to cover the previously bare ground in the dense shade. Tall pots of bright flowers, watered by an ingenious hidden system, add color to the patio. All the various components flow seamlessly to create a calm soothing whole. In the fall of 2012 Ronni designed and installed two patios and some fairly extensive plantings at our modest Princeton home. Every stage of the project was a pleasure.
