Sam Allen is the founder of Sam Allen Interiors. Sam’s style is clean and comfortable and encompasses themes all the way from Organic Elegance to Parisian Hollywood Glamour. Named by House Beautiful as its Next Wave Designer for its December/January 2013 issue. His designs have been featured in numerous publications including The New York Times, House Beautiful, Vogue, Luxe Magazine, Domino Magazine, Teen Vogue, At Home, Martha’s Vineyard Magazine, and Connecticut Cottages & Gardens. Sam was just 19 years old when his career took off, when the late Albert Hadley chose him as one of twelve designers to take part in his “Rooms With A View” show house. Sam was the youngest designer ever to participate in Hadley’s annual exhibition. Soon thereafter, Sam’s talent and drive landed him on the cover of The New York Times Home section. Sam’s work and story have since been featured on regional and national television programs such as Fox Business Mornings with Maria, NBC Open House TV, CBS This Morning, The Rachael Ray Show, Fox Connecticut, and, as an on air monthly contributor, for Better Connecticut. Sam was also the youngest designer ever to have a Tastemaker Tag Sale on One Kings Lane. With mounting recognition, Sam is taking his love for design far and wide serving dozens of clients throughout the Northeast.

Our family has had the pleasure of working with Sam and the entire Sam Allen team for the past six months. Our project was no small task as we challenged the team to redesign the kitchen, study, powder room and butler pantry while picking out paint and carpets for every room and decorating the entire house (our rule was “every piece of furniture would be new”). Sam is such a talent..a true Phenom. Sam’s ability to understand our tastes, challenge us, see the possible from nothing, and connect room to room in a special/unique way has made our project exciting, fun, fast and awesome! Over time, Sam has a gained our trust and this allows him to present us with concepts that we never would have thought we would like..but have ended up loving. One of Sam’s strongest qualities is his ability to take feedback, accept it and provide alternative recommendations that hit the mark. Sam is not only a wonderful designer, he is also a great person. Caring, thoughtful and inspiring are words I would use to describe Sam. All you need to do is spend an hour with Sam and you can tell you are around someone special, just the right a bit of crazy and tons of fun. Through our project we have not only gotten the house of our dreams, but we have also gained lifelong friend in Sam.

Sam is incredibly creative and professional. He has a talent for combining traditional design with a personal twist. We came up with an overall design concept for my house and took each room step by step. Sam was never pushy, he wanted to make sure we were happy with the finished product. My husband was even happier as we came in just under budget! We are now using Sam Allen Interiors for our vacation home.

Sam Allen is a superb designer. His attention to detail and the quality of his work is like no other. He is a perfectionist, and he makes you feel like you are his only client. He is extremely accessible and gets things done in a timely manner. He listens to you and tries to work with your taste and budget. Now that i have used Sam, I can't imagine using anyone else for any design project. I know that any project I do with Sam will come out looking even better than i could have imagined!!

I hired Sam to help me decorate my new home in Weston about seven years ago. At the time, he was a senior in high school. This may seem odd but I had seen Sam's sense of decor a few years previous to this when my daughter brought him home and he reorganized and beautified her room and closet. Sam's taste and knowledge when it came to all things associated with interior design struck me as quite remarkable, especially for someone his age. Sam was an absolute delight to work with and I was very pleased with the results. Sam's choices in furniture, fabric and carpets can be found throughout my house and they continue to attract compliments today.

We hit a home run with interior designer, Sam Allen. His design vision is fresh, inviting and practical. We wanted a home that was sophisticated and flowed well from room to room. The soft color pallet Sam chose gives the house a cohesiveness as well as a relaxing vibe. Sam has a knack for pairing rich colors and textured fabrics with thoughtfully designed furniture that holds an intrigue that makes you want to take in every detail the space offers. He often uses organic elements like handcrafted wood furniture or Beautifully woven wool rugs, in balance with eye catching finishes such as polished nickel or lucite. The way Sam pairs different elements is what truly makes his work one of a kind. We have four children, practicality was a concern for me when starting our project. Sam showed me that I didn't have to sacrifice style or ease of living with a busy family to achieve a beautiful home retreat. I have lived in my home for five years and can say I haven't had to replace or repair any items that Sam recommended. Sam took the time to get to know everyone in the family and incorporates all of our needs into his designs. We have invited Sam back to redesign my 16 year old's room over the next couple of months. I hope as our family evolves, Sam will be right there to make sure our home evolves with us.

Sam Allen is one of the most talented designers I have ever met. He transformed our house into a peaceful and beautiful oasis. Our house is comfortable, elegant and soothing. He is able to mix the casual with the fancy and the neutral with awesome pops of color. He is also a lot of fun to work with! Anyone would be lucky to call him their designer and friend.
