Barbi is a talented designer with a great eye and she is also a lovely person to work with. An architect as well as a designer, she was terrific at knowing what looks good where and how to make the most of my smaller home in a historic building. She also is knowledgeable about fine art; I was most impressed with her steering me towards a particular painting and the perfect frame to go with it. In addition, she guided me along the way when it came to vintage glass, antiques and more -whether online or in person shopping. Stalburg Design were helpful throughout the entire process of my parents’ kitchen renovation. Tone took the time to go to different stores multiple times and come by the house in order to help them bring to life the kitchen they wanted. Stalburg was easy + efficient to work with and helped in managing the communication with the general contractor!

We worked with Stalburg Design on a home renovation in 2021. Barbi led the effort to reconfigure our 1950s era house into the perfect space for us. She made sure the spaces reflected our own design style, but also opened us up to new and interesting design choices. Barbi was amazing to work with! Before hiring her, I was so overwhelmed by the decisions that needed to be made and I was paralyzed by fear. She was able to help me hone in on choices when I didn’t know where to start but also validate things that I loved but was scared to move forward with in case I was making a “mistake”. She has a great creative eye but is also very practical and has amazing relationships with vendors. She is also extremely organized and has a great team supporting her! I just wish we had hired her from day 1 of our project instead of mid way through. I would highly recommend her!

This was our first major home renovation so we really weren’t familiar with the “ideal process”. We started by hiring an architect. Then our friends introduced us to Barbi after our drawings were complete. Barbi has an amazing vision for usage of space. She suggested some changes to the layout of our master suite, and we are so happy with the way it turned out. She coached me through the tile, flooring, plumbing, etc selections and made me feel confident with my ultimate choices.

Barbi and her amazing team at Stalburg design created such an incredible dream space for our tween daughter. Barbi’s eye for detail, her creativity, her advanced knowledge for design and architectural expertise helped to create a sanctuary that my daughter can grow into her young adult years without needing to change a thing! We did a complete remodel of her bathroom including shower, tile, door, cabinetry, lighting etc as well as new flooring (amazing luxury vinyl) throughout her bedroom area, with a study niche—desk, windows, lighting, window treatments, paint, curtains, new dressers and bed! It was a huge job (we even repainted hallway, two bedrooms and restrained hallway wood floors)! Barbi and her crew were beyond organized...the job was done much quicker that we could’ve imagined-a couple months tops! We would highly recommend this team of incredibly creative and knowledgeable people to do any room! I want to now redo my entire house...but for now maybe just move into my daughters incredible space.

Barbi and her staff were professional and great to work with on the bathroom and kitchen remodel in a let 1800s 600ft2 carriage house. Barbi created a great design working within our budget by delivering high value and aesthetic appeal. They were interested in my suggestions (even last minute) and worked hard to accommodate them when technically feasible and explain to me when and why it didn’t make sense. The Stalburg Design team took our project to a whole new level. They understood our vision from the beginning and listened to all of our ideas. They pushed us out of our comfort zone in all the right areas. We underwent a full house remodel that was in design for over a year and building phase for 7 months. I would not change a thing. I walk around feeling like I am in a professional houzz photo shoot all the time. I would work with this company again anytime and still consult with them on smaller decorating struggles to this day. They are kind and good people and definitely well worth our money spent. Hopefully I can add some more pictures of the exterior soon and figure out why 2 of my photos are turning when they are not saved sideways but you will get the idea.

Barbi and her team were the ultimate team. Their designs were fresh and innovative. Barbi asked many questions to understand the styles and worked directly with us at multiple stores throughout the entire process of picking all finishings of all sorts. She not only guided us, but brought new ideas that we never thought of. Her detail to colors, finishes, styles, harmony, functionality and beauty were wonderfully thorough and the end result was an absolutely stunning house. The project entailed remodeling an entire house to the extent of combining bathrooms, moving bathrooms and walls, changing out flooring throughout, changing windows to doors, putting doors where none existed, changing lighting throughout, removing walls, painting, tiling, plumbing, lighting, cabinetry, hardware and more. It was an entire gut and restyle of the house. Barbi's expertise and vision and experience all came together in a wonderful triad of perfection from the design side. The house is absolutely beautiful. If you're looking for a designer that has a great vision and knows how to read a customer, then Barbi is your first choice. If we were to do another project, I would call no other than Barbi. She's definitely a high quality person and runs a high quality business. I just can't say this enough (and I don't say it often). Barbara S. Bell Design came to our rescue after a frozen pipe burst in the cold of winter then rained on our kitchen with no one home for more than 3-hours! Our kitchen had to be gutted to the studs, we didn't know where to turn. From the very beginning Barbi S. Bell lifted our spirits and made us feel like everything was going to be ok. She came up with a plan, a drawing pretty quickly. She knew all the best trades people...and within days we got started. There was demolition and renovation, there were cabinets and counters to order and every bit of hardware and trim and tile, flooring and paint and Barbi knew where to go to get what we needed and was with us or in contact with us at every turn. We worked together and made some changes and one of Barbi's qualities I feel is so important is that she recognized right away what we liked and didn't like and while she encouraged us to take a few "risks", she never pushed and she absolutely wanted us to be happy with the outcome, in fact when our kitchen started to come together and look so beautiful, I believe she was almost as excited as we were. There were a few "bumps" in the road to completion and a few delays but when you are juggling all the different trades and working on such a huge project, that is unavoidable and to be expected and if something wasn't getting done or right, Barbi worked with me to investigate why...and she would make sure it was corrected. Barbi S. Bell is an award winning designer with amazing insight and taste and I know she would be a great help to anyone who is re-doing, renovating or starting from scratch. I love the use of different textures, patterns clean sleek designs that BSB Design brings to the table. Sometimes when you are second guessing yourself at Home Depot while trying to do a DYI project....the light might go off in your head that you are in over your head and should really hire a professional. Ms. Bell designed our kitchen She was able to create a more functional. open kitchen plan blending it into the nearby hearth room. The process went smoothly and quickly with minimal interruption in our home. She understood my style and did not overwhelm me with choices.
