Gemini, owner of Summit Street Design, is a wonderful designer. She has a great capacity for visualizing space. We needed to replace our downstairs half-bath with a full bathroom. That may sound like a simple task, but it meant completely reconfiguring the space, moving walls, repositioning the plumbing, and thinking about fixtures that would fit well within a small area. She also redesigned part of the connecting room, turning a large hall closet into two closets for two spaces. We found her very easy to work with. She starts from where her clients are, offers options, and is great at hearing and understanding the needs of her clients, and finding creative solutions. She was available whenever we needed as the project proceeded. Although choosing paint, tiling and fixtures was up to us, she was supportive and helpful as we made our choices. Her company also created two lovely cabinets for our bathroom that are both functional and very attractive. We highly recommend her!

It was a pleasure to work with Gemini who understood what we wanted & created a beautiful transformation. Our renovated kitchen brought me to my comfort zone: tropical, warm & comfortable. Gemini is wonderful! I have a strong design sense but had no idea how to maximize the space in my farmhouse kitchen. I also wanted to completely modernize without having a kitchen that's aesthetically disconnected from the rest of my home. Gemini really spent time talking with us, looking at how we used our old kitchen, where we needed additional space and what we wanted to add. We ended up with a beautiful full-size pantry, a coffee-and-snack station and double wall ovens, along with additional storage. Everything was top quality yet she always offered a range of price options. She also involved us in every step of the process, checking in with our contractor, meeting us at the granite yard (for our counters) or tile shop, and really helping to supervise every step of the way. I never felt like I was left alone to handle the biggest project my husband and I had ever tackled as a couple. Plus, she has exquisite taste! I cannot recommend Gemini or Summit Street Design highly enough!

Gemini executed a flawless two-room renovation in a challenging older home, despite COVID and my busy work schedule out of state. She used my time efficiently and triaged design options/selections to ensure the classic period style of the home was maintained, while still enabling modern efficiency. Highly recommend!

Our experience with Gemini Watanabe was an absolute delight from the start of the project—a new kitchen and bathroom— to the finish. Her sense of design is exquisite. She designed a new kitchen that was within our budget, elegant, and beyond our expectations. She got to know us, listened to our desires, our dreams, our tastes, and gave us options that stuck to our budget without being overwhelming. (We asked her to limit choices, to keep the process somewhat simple, and she did just that.). When the construction began, she was hands on, working with the contractor, and even the installers—all the way to the very last hinge on the very last cabinet. Working with Gemini was a delight, and we can sense it in the way our kitchen—and even our bathroom—feels in our house. Most of all, working with Gemini was a fun, a pleasure—and again she listened carefully to our suggestions and helped ease our anxieties along the way. Her rates are reasonable—especially considering how much work she put into the project—and the materials and choices she helped us make were incredible. We will be recommending her as a designer to all of our friends in the future.

Gutting the bathroom for a complete renovation was the first major project we have ever done on the house. We were pretty much in the dark about the process of drawing up the new layout and choosing materials and fixtures from the infinite world of options out there so we hired Gemini to help us. Working with Gemini was a dream! She narrowed in on our aesthetic right away, from the layout to materials, so that the decision making process was fun and easy. She had incredible vendor resources to work with so that everything from the tile to the vanity felt uniquely in line with our vision, while staying within budget. She followed through with any changes to the plans right away and worked closely with the contractor to make sure installation details were precise. We were looking for a space with clean lines that was bright, airy and peaceful and that's exactly what we got. Gemini really helped this dream come true. It's our favorite room in the house!

We hired Gemini to remodel our 1980’s galley kitchen. I knew immediately on meeting Gemini that we were on the same page with our aesthetic. It was small, dark and dingy kitchen and Gemini immediately understood our need for a more open concept, a real challenge for a galley kitchen. Gemini’s plans however, were exactly what we envisioned. We opened up a wall into the dining room, our space looks so much larger. We did a sleek, contemporary kitchen, and we love everything about it. Gemini is wonderful to work with. I highly recommend her for any renovation you may be thinking about but can’t quire fully envision.

We hired Summit Street Design to help us with our complete bathroom renovation. The renovation included knocking down a wall and enlarging the total space of the bathroom, so we really needed some help! We really appreciated Gemini for several reasons. One, she was meticulous in her organization. Two, she was able to hear our ideas for tiling, fixtures, lighting, etc. and come back with spot-on examples of what we might like. Three, she was patient and easy to work with every step of the way, and helped us easily coordinate the whole job with all its various sub-contractors.

Gemini is a pleasure to work with and gave us a design that was unique and less obvious than the standard layout we received from some other designers. She was present throughout the renovation and spoke with the contractor often. She also took care of a problem we had with a scratched cabinet and made sure it was replaced promptly. We're very happy with our new kitchen!

I loved working with Gemini. She was on always on top of my (2) bathroom projects. Easy to work with, kept to her timeline and had great recommendations for tile and vanity style. And best of all stayed close to my budget. I will not hesitate to call on Gemini for other decorating needs.

We are so pleased with our new master bathroom! Gemini listened to us and developed three terrific designs based on our requirements. The designs utilized the space and perfectly captured the look we wanted. Gemini was available and on-site for several key parts of the renovations and worked well with the contractor, Frank Marino & Sons. Gemini is professional, knowledgeable and really understands her clients. She takes the time to listen and provides outstanding design ideas. Her drawings were detailed and clear and she was always available for any questions. On a scale of 1-10 she is a 10!

Gemini was fantastic to work with once again (this is my second project with her). Again, her design suggestions both synched with my style (she found a great stone-like material for the bath tile) and took me in new directions (combining classic beadboard with modern fixture design). There are little things that she picked out that give me pleasure every day - the way the toilet flushes, the simple design in the oversized medicine cabinet, the purple-gray wall color. Gemini was on site almost every day of the project, and consulted with each of the craftsmen who work with my contractor (Greenbush Construction and Steve Lubeck - I've been with them for over 10 years!). I can't recommend Gemini and Summit Street enough for the care, design and management for any home project.

We couldn't have been happier with the consultation services provided by Summit St. Design. After interviewing a number of other companies, we discovered that you will not find better quality and tastefulness of design for the price that you pay. The owner/designer is highly educated, knowledgeable, and experienced and has a refined taste that is difficult to find. More importantly, she is very easy to work with and was able to help my wife and I (who have very different tastes) agree on a plan that was personally tailored to suit our styles. Although we initially only planned to use Summit St. to design our dream kitchen and bathroom, we ended up consulting her for the interior design of other rooms as well due to her creative ideas and vision. I highly recommend Summit St. Design and hope that you get an opportunity to work with them as well.

Gemini helped us with total renovation of our kitchen. After 2 years, we still love it. We spent quite a bit of time getting the layout correct. She continually proposed options for our considerations based on our feedback. During the construction phase, she was there to make sure everything went smoothly and she was always accessible for our questions on the little things. As with any renovation of an old house, there were hiccups. She resolved these with the contractor. Gemini was fantastic during the whole project. We just saw the contractor recently and he mentioned that she was a pleasure to work with. Gemini's knowledge and experience made the whole process easy for us.

I just renovated two full bathrooms and don't know how I could have done it without Gemini's expertise, efficiency and great design eye. She understood what I was looking for quickly, brought me enough material samples to give me choices but not overwhelm me, and coordinated all the work with the contractor. Everything went smoothly. Gemini from Summit Street Design was amazing! She designed a full renovation for my kitchen and bathroom in a creative way using the space in the best way possible. She listened to what I wanted and didn't want. And she came up with options for me that were spot on. And not too many options- that would have been overwhelming. She gave us an estimate and stayed within budget- even after a couple of surprises came up and changes were made. She had a great working relationship with the contractor, plumber, electrician, etc..... And they were responsible workers in their own. Gemini got back to me in a timely manner any time I had a question or concern.

I highly recommend Gemini Watanabe of Summit Street Design for her professionalism, technical skill, artistic eye, and her ability to work with other crafts people on our kitchen and bath renovation. For our 1930 Dutch Colonial, we wanted an expert- someone who appreciated the old aesthetic one who could meld it with modern living. 1. Vision and Creativity: Gemini was the only kitchen designer that we met who had the vision and creativity to change our floor plan to allow for an island, which we wanted, and to keep the dining room separate but accessible. She created a large arched doorway to connect the two spaces. We had met with 2 other kitchen designers- at two different cabinet stores. Neither kitchen plan could accommodate our request for an island. 2. Simplifying Choices for the Customer: Gemini would meet with me regularly to discuss my choices on fixtures or appliances or tile or paint, etc.as needed. She would get a sense of my style, or give a few recommendations. For example, once I decided I wanted a certain faucet, she would email me 15 or 20 choices. This saved me a lot of time because she was able to find the best examples for me. 3. Timeliness and Schedule with the Contractor: Prior to the start of the renovation, Gemini and I had met and picked out and ordered the cabinets, tile, and paint so the work could begin right away. We were never delayed because we had everything that we needed. 4. Start to Finish Contact and Communication: Gemini was there from the beginning to the end. 5. Knowledge of Materials, Quality of Products: Gemini worked within our budget, but I believe that her technical knowledge of quality products- flooring, tile, etc created a more beautiful, functional, and durable kitchen than we could have ever planned on our own.

I was very pleased with Summit Street Design. Gemini really took into consideration my wishes,my taste and my style descriptions! I wanted an elegant classic modern look. Her suggestions were beautiful and tasteful. My kitchen looks gorgeous. I get so many compliments on it. It's functional yet sophisticated. It goes so well with the rest of my home. She was very mindful as well of my budget. She also worked beautifully with my contractor. Her measurements were precise. I highly recommend Summit Street Design!

Gemini is a spectacular Interior Designer. We asked her to design and renovate our kitchen and a bathroom for us. Both of which were in dire need of updating. She was able to take everything we had asked for and make it that much better. While working very closely with us, she came up with some very creative solutions of what we wanted and catered to all of our needs. Every aspect of the renovation project was taken care of and went off without a hitch. We now have a much better space with greater functionality. The project was a breeze! We have hired Gemini of Summit Street Design a few times now, and we plan to do more work with her in the near future. We first had her design remodels for one and a half bathrooms in our previous home, which was a home built in the 1860's with some charming character that she helped preserve, while helping to make it more livable in this century. I'm sure her work helped when we eventually sold the home. Then in our current home she worked on the remodel of our kitchen as well as two and half bathrooms. I love how she starts by listening to your goals and figuring out your tastes and needs, then she comes up with beautiful design options and works with you through every step of the project. She can take our half-baked ideas and make something really stunning, but also practical for our busy family home. I can hardly wait to see how else she will help us transform our home.

Gemini was an instrumental part of our dream kitchen being designed and built after a 14 year wait! She was highly professional from start to finish. Her work was through, complete, creative, thoughtful and the we lived in the home during construction. It was done on time and on budget. We could not have hoped for a better outcome.
