For over 40 years, Southwest Fence & Deck has been the premier fence and decking company in the DFW area. All designs meet city codes and we will obtain all necessary municipal permits. Our in-house scheduler will keep you informed of project progress, what to expect on a weekly basis and any weather delays. We also have an in-house crew with no subcontractors, so you can expect efficient and effective scheduling as well as total quality control. We are so confident in our products that we provide a one year warranty on all workmanship.

Southwest Fence and Deck installed 2 trex based deck October of 2017 installation was well done-no complaints but since then the bar has pulled away from the house leaving a big crack all the way-both sides and across the top to be clear--this is a soil issue--smectitic clay causing the settling I have called and emailed for help and suggestions--no response very disappointed at the lack of support or help--this was not an inexpensive project

Kevin Emery gave us the impression we could stay in our budget for our outdoor project which we were very clear on numbers. We ended eliminating so much to even stay in our 60K budget. Every time we talked he would talk about his other projects and how much more his other clients were spending. Extremely poor communication...makes promises he clearly could not keep. If you are looking to get ripped off or just have tons of money to spare, this may be the right company for you!

We are very sorry that the finalization of the project did not work out. I understand that Kevin did a design for you, you met and changes were made to try to accommodate your budget. Things were removed and others added. He did revisions for you all and did both designs at no charge.

In looking at the proposal it seems very fair and includes most dynamics of a project so as to limit surprises (change orders), including drainage, repair allowances, metal structures, storage shed, metal screens, a tremendous amount of concrete, gravel, faux grass etc..

The design looks very nice and in reviewing your correspondence with Kevin what you all described. We do have a tendency to over build our structures (heavier beams and thicker metals) for longevity, structural integrity as well as aesthetics.

I am happy to hear that Kevin is excited about his existing and past projects. It is extremely important that we enjoy what we do and it shows in the final product, and our customers attest to same.

We are very sorry to have consumed your time as we know it is precious. I do believe he did his best to try and accommodate your desires, however in your case we did not succeed. Again, thank you for the opportunity.

As a designer, it brings great comfort to work with contractors who "get" your vision, and are as eager to see it come to life as you are! My clients extend a great amount of trust to me, as we go through the process of transforming their homes and backyards, so it is of paramount importance that I trust the people I team up with, for the build-out. Southwest has always come through for me, even under difficult circumstances. From simple horizontal decorative panels, to extremely complicated outdoor room additions, I never hesitate to team up with Jamie, and the SW family.

Pool Environments, Inc.

We build very high end backyard environments and Southwest has worked on our projects for years. The quality is the highest I can find and Jamie, the owner is always there if you need him. If you look at their work, their creativity speaks for itself. I look forward to working on many more projects together.

Jamie and his team designed and built an awning as part of a larger backyard/pool installation project. Jamie was very engaging from the initial design all the way through completion of the project. We had an existing shed that the awning was designed around and a very modern look to both our house and the new pool. Once the project began Heath and Jesus took over the project management. My main need on any project is to stay informed. Both Heath and Jesus did an excellent job of keeping me up to speed daily on what was going on. We were under very tight timelines in trying to coordinate with the pool builders, weather, inspectors, etc. Jesus and Heath met or exceeded every deadline they set, something that is VERY rare in my experience with contractors. I would highly recommend using Southwest Fence. Our awning looks amazing.
