Starting any home project is overwhelming in itself. Where to begin, how to begin and everything in between. My husband and I interviewed several interior designers to help us with our first floor and kitchen renovation. We hadn’t spoken to anyone who really moved us, that is until we spoke with Jan. We felt completely at ease during our initial phone screening. From there, it was an easy decision who we trusted and wanted to hire to run with our project. We immediately got to work, or I should say Jan and Bridgette did. My husband and I shared our vision with them and they transformed our project into something that was beyond our scope of vision. This is a relationship solely based on trust. That’s the whole point of hiring a designer, right? They held our hand through each decision, had patience every step of the way and really listened and heard all of our thoughts. They are also a ton of fun to work with. There were numerous times when I would call them in a panic for a quick decision as I sat with our contractor if something came up. They made themselves available whenever we needed them, and guided us instantly. They were also just as excited seeing everything come together as if they were working on a project in their own home. We shared the same level of emotions. They are extremely talented and knowledgeable. Jan and Bridgette steered us through each moment and dedicated countless hours to us. We were a team. We never felt rushed or pushed into a decision. They were also extremely mindful of our allotted budget. Not only are we finally in love with our home, we also had such a fun time putting it all together. Hiring Jan and Bridgette was easily the best decision we could have made - we love them! Anyone can redo a space, but what Jan and Bridgette do is an art.

We hired Transitional Interiors for whole house pre-construction and bathroom design for our new build in Great Neck. They were referred by our architect. It's obvious that Jan and Bridgette know their stuff, i.e. suggestions to electrician that I wouldn't know to ask about. They understood our design preferences (more contemporary) and budget and came up with beautiful designs. Tip: We learned that in-person, phone calls, and texting communication worked best, not as responsive on e-mail. They worked around our work schedules by meeting occasionally on weekends and visiting showrooms in the city during weekdays.

Jan and Bridgette are true angels ! I was literally in the middle of my kitchen renovation, and had a “backsplash emergency”. The backsplash looked horrible when it was delivered ...looked nothing like it did in the store. My contractor & I were on a very tight schedule, so I had to pick out something new immediately ! I was totally overwhelmed and confused. I needed to get guidance from a professional. Never having worked with an interior designer (which can be intimidating) I didn’t know what to expect. After calling a few decorators, Jan was the only one to call me back -that same evening. She heard the panic in my voice & reassured me that she & Bridgette would be able to help. And boy, did they. They came to my home the next day (hottest day of the summer I might add) and helped me pick a beautiful backsplash. Also, guided me on paint color, lighting, cabinet color, and artwork. Love their suggestions & vision. Again, they are wonderful ladies (angels actually) and I’m forever grateful to both of them.
