At Uptown Interiors, inc., based in Kingston, New York, we believe that great design revolves around our clients' style...We are inspired by our clients and make it our mission to bring all levels of interior design to life; from design concepts in exquisite kitchen and bath design and home remodels and additions, through meticulous construction by our team of highly skilled contractors, and completion of your project to standards that exceed your expectations. We also provide interior decor services from furniture design to reupholstery and color consulting to window and wall treatments to home styling. Our principal interior designer, Sari A. Will is known for her ability to turn our clients' vision into a beautiful reflection of their personal style and values. We work closely with highly skilled craftspeople, artisans and contractors to execute any level of design work and construction. We are affiliated with Ashokan Architecture and Planning, PLLC who can provide architectural services as needed. About Us Sari A. Will, ASID is our principal Interior Designer with a CIDA accredited BFA in Interior Architecture and Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Upon graduating in 2009, Sari began teaching Color and Design, which included teaching Color Theory and Design Principles and Elements, to applied arts majors at the Academy of Art University. Sari began her love of interior design and decoration at a young age: rearranging her bedroom furniture on a regular basis when she was in grade school. Sari designed interiors for friends, co-workers and family while working in upscale retail in Northern California as a visual merchandiser. This included creating captivating window displays and designing a compelling retail shopping experience for exacting repeat clientele. Her display windows, in a prominent location in Mill Valley, CA, were admired by many and won top honors for the Mill Valley Film Festival in 1997. It was her 10 years as a visual merchandiser that finally prompted Sari to earn her BFA in Interior Architecture and Design in 2009. Sari A. I loved Sari's eye for detail and design. However, I wasn't completely satisfied with the product. I spent $10,000 on custom made shades that do not sit evenly. I have made several attempts to contact Sari with promise to make good. The shades just celebrated their first birthday in my home and they are still uneven...and suffering broken cord/strings. I'm disappointed and a little angry. I would not recommend Sari at this point because it's her job to contact manufacturer and I do not believe this has been done...I'm so upset!

Sari is an excellent interior designer, and we often work together designing and fabricating modern furniture for her clients. Working with Sari is a pleasure. Having more than just wonderful design sense, Sari has a great ability to work closely with her clients' personalities to create soulful spaces. Her design sense is warm and inviting, and her Finnish background/Scandinavian design elements often shine through in her space creation. As a furniture maker/designer, I also really appreciate that Sari is perceptive in understanding the craft that goes into the making of beautiful objects that furnish her clients' spaces. I look forward to continuing a great working relationship with Sari!

In the mid 1990’s I hired Sari to create store window displays for my women’s clothing store in Mill Valley, CA. Her sense of style and creativity were unparalleled. Along with continual accolades her work inspired, one of the windows she designed during the Mill Valley Film Festival won a top award. So, when it was time for me to design my home, I gave Sari the challenge. To say she was resourceful would be an understatement. With a limited budget, she selected beautiful paint colors, art for the walls, all the furniture, rugs, lighting and decor and ultimately created a minimalistic, serene space. I am honored and proud to have been Sari’s first real design client and I know she will continue to excel as a designer.

I was in a panic with the fact I had a lot to do with respect to designing my new home while just accepting a position at a new company. This included interior deign, selecting interior colors and arranging the home where it required new pieces as well as utilizing the ones I brought. I was looking for warmth, comfortable in every area yet convey a simple kind of rustic elegance. Easy, right? Pretty eclectic, and not just one style. Enter SARI - I had heard through the grapevine she would fit the bill, and boy did she, and then some. I knew that she graduated with an MFA in Interior Design Architecture, and also knew her through some mutual friends. What impressed me first and foremost was how she talked with me for quite some time to get the ideas of what I was envisioning, and was able to discern where I may have been off track given the desired environment and so forth. Her number one goal was to deeply understand the space along with knowing what I had, and what I wanted. Sari produced Magic. I adored, and loved my place, Living in your environment, makes you feel like you are at really home, one that you continually enjoy and appreciate, it doesn't get better. Not to mention the kind of home, where you cannot only relax, but feel motivated to work on projects, cook up a storm...dance around or sack out. Sari, was a big part of why I was so happy and in bliss. I loved going home, loved having get togethers and loved knowing I had a fabulous place to land after a long day at work! It takes someone that has all the specific requirements and/or criteria you need but what you rarely find is someone that approaches it organically, and certainly professionally, plus has a very keen plan as to how to manifest the client's wants and needs for her home. Thank YOU to Sari! She is the "go to" Pro who definitely knows what she is doing, and doing it with such amazing energy and devotion. Did I mention easy to work with? Well, that too! Not enough words to describe this special individual.

Sari is fantastic to work with. We are currently renovating our house in Upstate New York. Sari has a great eye and understands how to translate her client's tastes and desires into smart, professional choices. At the same time, she is so pleasant-- it is a joy to work with her. The contractor she is working with is also amazing.

Sari, from Uptown Interiors is a talented, experienced designer with impeccable taste, a pleasure to work with. She listens and understands the needs of her clients. She has a great sense of style also, and has many great sources from art to custom furniture etc. As an interior designer myself, I highly recommend. And most importantly, she will add humor and fun to any project! (Her husband is also a very good architect so they make a great team)

I have worked with Sari Will on numerous projects over the past five years, at two different properties. These projects have included a complete kitchen remodel and a complete bathroom remodel, as well as multiple interior decorating projects. Her keen eye, attention to detail and creativity have led to spectacular results at both properties (and a healthy return on investment when I sold one of the properties last year). She is always a complete joy to work with and makes the renovation process as low-stress as possible. I highly recommend Sari for any project large or small.

Sari helped me with multiple projects in my Woodstock home, and always went above and beyond. She is thorough and professional, with a keen for detail. The kicker is that she did much of the work while I was out of town, and I knew with confidence that she was handling everything as though it were her own home. Not only did she get the projects completed with top quality materials and labor, but she was simply a joy to work with. If only she worked in Maryland, where I live now!

They did a great job repainting the exterior or our home. Sari is a pleasure to work with. She is a very clear communicator and took the time to make sure we got what we wanted. They stayed within the price quoted and finished the job quickly. I would work with them again.

Kommenterade: Paint pro's and Houzzer's - What type of paint is best for cabinets?I've always used Fine Paints of Europe. It has a beautiful finish and holds up very well over time. Caution: whichever paint you use, it's critical that your painter is skilled!
