Bryan Morton at Urban Lights Denver was recommended to us by our architect and he didn't disappoint. First of all, Urban Lights has the largest and most impressive inventory of lighting one can imagine. Secondly, if they did not have the specific item on display in the showroom--I wanted cable lighting with the smallest footprint--they knew exactly where to go to find it and show me what I wanted. Bryan worked with me in the showroom and answered everyone of my numerous phone calls, and even drove out to our house to make sure the lighting was what we wanted. We have worked with Urban Lights on many projects and we have enjoyed every minute spent working with them. They are all extremely knowledgable about the products that they sell, and helpful in answering any and all questions. We will certainly be working with Urban Lights again in the future.

Janet Dann -I never post! But I want to tell everyone about my experience at Urban Lights. I have never had such an experience where kind, helpful, knowledgeable people truly interested in your project go overboard. I purchased lighting for every roomin the condo about a year ago. Each time we were in there, Rhonda took as much time with us as we needed, had so many great ideas, and got us the best prices! She was amazing! I have lived all over, and still have homes in Boulder and Houston. The products are so unique- I could not find them anywhere else. Now this is above and beyond-- I fractured my spine a few weeks ago, and knowing that, Rhonda from Urban Lights volunteered to come out to condo in Boulder, arrived, and, in an unbelievable act of kindness, helped me and my son rewire the light which another contractor had damaged last week! Can you believe it!? When I am remodeling my Houston home this year, I plan to travel to Denver just to buy my lighting. Can't say enough!

My experience with Urban Lights has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. My husband and I are building a house and thought it would be better to go with more of an upscale lighting store. After purchasing our fixtures, we were told we would have all the fixtures within 2 weeks which then turned into 3 weeks. Upon installing, our electrician called stating 2 of the fans were not working and needed to be returned and 1 fixture for the master closet could not be used because did not meet code. After 4 days of leaving messages with Janet, I finally was able to reach her and I was told that it had to be my electrician not installing them correctly and that when I disagreed she said I would need to call the manufacturer and that she could not help me. My electrician troubleshooted with the manufacturer and they concluded they needed to be replaced and I was told I needed to again go back to Urban Lights. Again it took 3 days of no returned phone calls and almost another week of waiting to hear back before I just started calling and asking to speak to anyone that could help me. I purchased my lights November 3, 2017 and as of January 10, 2018 they still can not tell me when I will have 1 fan. My second fan actually arrived today and I had asked previously if I should bring in the broken fans and I was told to hold onto them until the new fans were up and working. However, when trying to go pick up the replacement fan today I was told I would have to pay again for the fan until broken ones were returned. This process has taken almost 2 1/2 months with no end date still and has held us up on being able to close and move into our new home.

UPDATE as of 5.24.2017 May24 update to earlier review. I have changed my mind and found that when dealing with an issue ask to speak to the manager and not take what the rep says as fact. Come to find that the original customer service person I was dealing with was new and spoke to the operations manager about my issue. Wrong manager. I was contacted the next day after leaving the below review by Cheryl (hope the spelling is right) The customer service manager. She promptly engaged their in house technician Clint who came to my house 4 days later and installed the parts fixing not only that fan, but took the time to make minor adjustments to the other two fans which was impressive. I have changed my review from 1 to 4 stars and I would not hesitate to shop here again or to give a glowing recommendation to friends or family. Thank you again Cheryl and Clint for standing behind the products you sell. Chris THINK TWICE before purchasing from this store. I bought 3 fans for just under a $1000 that were Minka Aire. Happy with Jarrod our sales rep who gave us a card for an electrician they recommend for the install. I have no problem installing fans, but two of them in our newly built house were 12 foot ceilings so I decided to let someone else do it rather than rent or buy a 10 foot ladder. All went well for the first 6 weeks until one of the fans stopped working. Called and got Veronica who was very nice who told me I need to call Minka to Troubleshoot the issue and then we would go from there. Minka said they needed to send me two parts to fix the issue which I got a week later as promised. I called Veronica back to see what we were supposed to do about getting it repaired and she said she needed to talk to her manager and she would call me the next day. A week later I called her back after not hearing anything. She remembered me but no apology for no return call. She said her manager told her to tell me that It would be Minka I would need to speak to because Urban Lights does not install fans they just recommend people to install. Minka says they manufacture fans and the warranty states they are not responsible for repairs just parts. So both companies pointing the finger. I called Veronica back and she said they was nothing they could do. I said "so I am basically screwed and have pay another $200 to the electrician" she said "yes I am sorry you are" I said "I guess I bought the fans from the wrong company. Take away is when shopping in Denver for a fan or light company go with one that installs or face this issue of the pointing fingers and a customer left with broken fan and two companies that will not step up and stand behind what they make and sell.

I am a kitchen, bath and interior designer and have worked with Jenn at Urban Lights for several years on many projects, large and small. She has a great attention to detail that I appreciate and is so helpful in working with clients that need extra help no matter how many times they need to come to the showroom! I can always count on her being conscious of even the most modest budget to find them the perfect lighting for their space. It is great that I can send a client in to make decisions and Jenn will take the time to make sure they are happy with their selections. She is my lighting go to person every time!

I have purchased many lighting fixtures over the years at this business. I am always very satisfied with the knowledge and professionalism of the staff. They truly care about the outcome of your project and will give many different options and price points to stay within your budget. There selection is varied and high quality compared to many of the franchise outfits that sell dated/dull lighting that I see in many model homes at new home builders. Go here if you are looking for that unique fixture that will make your house glamorous.

I've worked with Urban Lights on multiple projects. I have found their showroom to be incredibly versatile and easy to explore. With the various light fixtures organized by styles and design characteristics, the showroom allows for a more efficient use of my time, and my clients money. Having a huge selection to see first hard, offers the ability to see the fixture in full scale and in it's illuminated state, something you don't get when you purchase online.
