William Hamilton Arthur Architect, Inc.

A 3rd-generation firm for Architecture, William designs Highly-Efficient Buildings from a perspective that Culturally & Historically-Minded, an approach that earned him the AIA Henry Adams Gold Medal. William has been working in the South Florida Building Environment for more than 10 years, and his family has been in the business for more than 65 years! The firm's principles originate through William’s grandfather, William H. Arthur III, who was an apprentice of Igor B. Polevitzky, a prominent Mid-Century Miami Modern (MiMo) architect since 1950. After the retirement of Polevitzky and at the height of an economic slow-down in 1962, William’s grandfather took-on the bulk of the firm’s continuing work. As a practitioner, William expounds on his grandfather’s mid-century traditions of passive energy design, open-air environments and the type of atmospheric transparency that characterizes the finest architecture of the region. Our office is located at 2920 Ponce de Leon Blvd, Downtown Coral Gables. We have been featured in publications such as Curbed Miami, The Miami Herald, The "Real Deal", The Sun Sentential, Tropic Magazine and many more.
