Working with Matt and his crew was more than a pleasure! Their workmanship was superior and work ethic amazing! We have an old house with all the "character" that comes over time. We were thrilled with their understanding of the quirks of old homes. They turned our old broken room into a delightful, comfortable, living space. They come in, do the required work and cleanup after themselves. You never know they were there. I initially observed Jason Whitbeck when he framed my primary residence. At that time he was seen to manage his crew with clear instructions, framed the house to specs, but when an issue presented itself he problem-solved with the general contractor speedily. He finished his portion of the construction on time. So when I desired to have a breezeway constructed at our vacation home I chose Jason. This was a worthwhile experience. Although there was a cost over-run, it was discussed before hand and agreement was appropriately forthcoming. The final project's workmanship far exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend him.

I'm a design professional, a consulting engineer that works with contractors all the time, so I have good knowledge over what to expect from a contractor. Whitbeck Construction does great work; they're very knowledgeable, and they are very fair in their pricing. They diagnosed a problem that I was having with foundation drainage, and worked diligently, even through a snowstorm, to solve the problem and restore my basement to a dry condition. Matt Whitbeck is especially experienced and knowledgeable in construction, and especially in water-proofing. The only negative that I would have to complain about is that they are so busy, that the responsiveness to initial requests, and to starting work is frequently slow. If you're not in a hurry, it's worth the wait. If it's urgent, your patience might be taxed.

Everyone we dealt with from Whitbeck Construction was very professional. Matt Whitbeck visited the site frequently to ensure that the work was progressing to his high standards. The two employees assigned to our project, Ben and Jim were knowledgeable and their work ethic was impeccable. At the close of business everyday the job site was left neat and clean. They were the least disruptive as possible. Working everyday, they stayed on schedule, completing the project in a timely manner. The project was completed within budget and we would not hesitate to hire Whitbeck Construction again. We love our kitchen and would highly recommend them to anyone considering a remodeling project.

The Whitbeck brothers are true artists and craftsman with a creative vision that is reflected in every detail of their work - from the locally sourced stone fireplace, to slate countertops, barn doors, mahogany front porch and an old carriage house wood crafted breakfast bar, they value unique pieces that really bring the home to life. Matt & Jason Whitbeck and team were wonderful to work with - extremely thorough and flexible, patient, and willing to go the extra mile - even answering late night phone calls. Matt was great to work with, he did the job on time and efficiently from start to finish. His crew was hard working and cleaned up as they went along. Our roof has saved us money in energy bills and Matt has been available to answer questions long after the project was complete. We would hire him again for other projects.
