“I highly recommend Phoenix Construction. I was interested in having the siding and roof replaced due to aging. I received 3 estimates for the work and Phoenix was the most complete and within my budget. The suggestions provided by Joe R. the owner were most useful and did not add to the cost of the job. He gave excellent advice in regards to the color of the siding and roof. His recommendations included a dry well to eliminate a previous flooding and icing conditions. Joe also recommended replacing a door to match all the new siding and roof. The work was done in a timely manner and done to the satisfaction of my wife and I. Even after the work was done Joe, noticed a couple of items that were not up to his standards and made his workers correct them to his satisfaction. Once again his work was excellent and my neighbor so impressed with his work that he hired him and was as pleased with his work as well.”

“Mr. Alberti the owner of Flawless Designs was a pleasure to work with. He installed crown moldings, columns and design a entrance way into my den with new door. He design new cabinets for both my kitchen and dining room. He is professional and will do his best to make your renovation ideas come to life. I would not hesitate to refer or hire his company again.”

“Hired this company for my kitchen renovation. Daniel was very easy to work with. What I liked the most is the communication that he and his team had with me. Literally every day I’d get a text from them, explaining what was completed today and what they will be doing tomorrow. I’ve had 4 renovations done before in my other apartments, but hands down, this was the smoothest one so far. Good luck to you guys!”

“We have used Dimon Construction many times since 1993. From small jobs to large jobs we found them to be very professional, creative with ideas and very easy to work with. They finished our walkout space into a beautiful family room complete with a fireplace and mini kitchen, a full bath and an exercise room. They also did a beautiful job replacing our kitchen countertops. As for small jobs they reinsulated our attic space and put in an exhaust fan. Just this past year they replaced broken windows and fixed a wobbly banister. Big jobs or small, we found Dimon Construction to be our "go to" for any home remodeling.”

“We are currently working with DDS on a significant exterior project that includes; roof, siding, masonry, and landscape design and we could not be happier with the services that are being provided! The attention to detail and professionalism is unparalleled. We have had several contractors provide us estimates and simply hand us a catalog to select materials with no guidance whatsoever. Edwin approached the project from an artistic point of view and was able to provide us with an image of what the house would look like upon completion which literally took all of the guess work out of the equation. Their team of contractors are very mild mannered and approachable and take the extra time each day to clean up and leave the work area spotless. We are beyond thrilled that we chose DDS for this project and look forward to our house being the envy of the block upon completion!”

“Our condo was leaking internally along one wall, and we had Shafayet come out to look at the leaks and give us a quote on restuccoing the outside wall. Shafayet was extremely professional and fairly priced - around $6,000 for one wall, with 30 year window caulking included. It took a few months to decide on who we were going to go with, and in that timeframe Shafayet was very responsive to all of my questions and requests. We ended up hiring him and his team started about 2 weeks later. They finished the job within 2 weeks and were very accommodating, especially with the way we access our backyard (only the 1st floor apt has access to the yard, so everyone had to use the basement window to get to the backyard). Our building is a 3 unit condo and while I was the main contact for Shafayet, he still worked with the other 2 owners and listened to their questions/requests. I would definitely recommend Multi Construction Company, and I would hire them again. So far no leaks along that wall, and we have had a few storms since they finished.”

“We hired HAP Construction for a complete renovation of my apartment. From start, to finish both Eli and the team was always honest with what could and could not be done. They are amazing and extremely knowledgeable. They were always readily available and responsive to any questions or change requests. I received detailed status updates along with pictures as the work progressed. They are the real deal, prompt, professional, and honest. “Chris was reliable and honest , he followed through on everything he promised. What I really appreciated is that he takes personal responsibility for all of the work that is done. Hur vet jag om en byggfirma i New York är bra?


Vad som gör ett byggföretag bra kan variera, mycket beroende på vilken typ av jobb de utför, och om de går i linje med vad man själv vill åstadkomma. Vårt tips är därför att söka efter en byggentreprenör i New York och börja med att titta på deras tidigare utförda projekt. På så vis kan man förhållandevis enkelt se om det är ett företag som man tror skulle passa för ens husbygge. Något annat som man sen bör titta på är om de har några omdömen. Ett byggföretag med bra omdöme är nämligen såklart alltid att föredra, och goda betyg är ett starkt tecken på att även du kommer vara nöjd med deras arbete. Om en entreprenad dels utfört snygga och välgjorda projekt tidigare och har riktigt bra omdömen, då är det mycket som talar för att just det byggföretaget kan vara rätt för dig. Sen måste du såklart höra av dig till dem och se vad de säger om ditt projekt, och om det är något som de skulle kunna ta sig an och har bra lösningar på. - Kolla alltid på tidigare projekt! Redan då kan man ofta tydligt se om det handlar om ett företag som jobbar med sådant som du själv behöver hjälp med. På så sätt slipper du slösa tid och energi på ett byggföretag som inte alls ens jobbar med just det som ditt projekt går ut på. Tid är pengar, och här kan det sparas in rejält på det!

- Lita på omdömen! Har ett företag 5 dåliga omdömen men 1 bra? Då kanske det dessvärre är så att det inte är det mest pålitliga byggentreprenaden, så vårt råd är att lyssna på de lite sämre omdömena. Visst kan det handla om att just specifika kunder haft särskilda situationer, men om majoriteten är på ett visst sätt så brukar det ofta stämma, inte minst om företaget inte svarat på kritiken.

- Respektera byggföretaget! Som privatperson kan man lätt tycka att man har koll på hur saker och ting ska genomföras, men här får man faktiskt ta ett kliv åt sidan och lita på experterna. Det är trots allt därför man har anlitat någon, för att få riktigt bra hjälp med sin renovering eller sitt byggprojekt, och ta vara på det. Det finns säkerligen många andra saker du behöver oroa dig för om du ska bygga något, så fokusera på det du själv måste lösa istället. Sen ska man såklart alltid ställa kritiska frågor, men bara till en viss gräns.
