“Before the purchase closing, we were looking for a company able to make our new home shining with a new floor. Interviewed 6 companies and got various quotes but wasn't 100% satisfied with the feedback received, in terms of price and advice. This until we finally found Chicago Flooring Innovations and met Octavian, one of the two owners. He had a few meetings with me and my wife, spending several hours and he was for us also a great adviser, not just a professional to hire. He was patient with us and very flexible in terms of solutions as we had a very tight timeline. The house we bought had carpet in all of the 3 bedrooms, tile in foyer and kitchen and Kahrs Jarrah in living/dining rooms. Initially our plan was to replace the carpet in the bedrooms with the same Jarrah floor. But after several brainstorming sessions (where Octavian was really great), we ended up with the decision to get rid of everything, installing the Kahrs Brazilian Cherry La Paz throughout the condominium. The crew was able to complete the job timely, working very hard and being always keen to explain or to assess any inquiry from us. I highly recommend Chicago Flooring Innovations if you want a top quality service, with reasonable price and reliable professionals.”

“I had searched for vintage, old growth oak flooring in my area for over a year. Having found a beautiful home in Glencoe slated for demolition, I removed 800 sq ft of the vintage quarter sawn and rift sawn floors, de-nailed them and brought them home. Then came the search for the installer. I called around and had a classified ad up. Michael from Mysha's Flooring came out to bid on the job. He was professional and full of knowledgable tips for us whether we used his services or not. A great guy. His bid was not the lowest, but we felt confident in his work. So we decided to hire him. He removed the old flooring and installed the reclaimed, quickly and carefully. Always aware of surrounding areas and kept the job site clean and organized. He kept us in the loop on all phases of the job. I feel like we hit the jackpot with Michael. The floors look beautiful and full of character. He is a lovely person and a truly skilled craftsman with high standards. Would highly recommend him.”

Adrian was fantastic to work with from the get-go. He got our large project done on schedule, before we moved into our new house. He was responsive, diligent, and upfront. “They installed and/or refinished Oak Floors in three homes. They did an excellent job with both old and new floors getting under the radiators and installing moulding in addition to the flooring, they used high end materials and did not have to bleach or stain in a situation where the natural grain was preferred. Excellent efficient workmanship, but they are in demand and were worth the wait.”

“Mike did a PERFECT JOB. I called 5 different companies to get quotes from on the project. I learned that the existing flooring was extremely thin, and 3 out of 5 said that they would not be able to sand the floors because they were too thin. Mike said he would be able to sand it, and assured me it would look great. I went with Mikes Flooring because he seemed trustworthy, came early, and always answered right away when I called. That is very rare to find! I initially signed a contract to install hardwood throughout my condo, but ended up just wanting to sand and stain the existing flooring instead since it was cheaper. All other companies told me that no matter what I did, nothing was going to look as I would want since the existing floors were so thin and worn. Mike was the only one that assured me it would look great. They were able to sand and stain right on schedule and worked within my tight time frame. I honestly can’t believe how the floors turned out. They look absolutely perfect! I never imagined they would end up looking like brand new floors after what everyone else told me was not possible. Mike did an AMAZING job. 10/10. Since I initially paid Mike to do add in new hardwood floors in the bedroom and I decided not to go that route, Mike drove out to my work and paid me the difference. Again, he answered calls right away and showed up right when he said he would and gave me the money. I am impressed with the superior customer service that he delivered, and the job that he did on my condo. I rarely go out of my way to leave reviews, but I wanted to make sure to pay it forward in this situation. Everyone that comes into my condo compliments my floors right away. Mike did a phenomenal job and he will be the first one I call on all future projects. Mikes Flooring was excellent. I highly recommend them for all flooring projects. Very impressed!”

Kan man fixa till sina golv själv?


Allt beror på hur händig och hur mycket kunskap man har själv. Visst kan många genomföra en enklare golvslipning eller lägga ett vanligt klickgolv, särskilt om man sitter på lite kunskap. Däremot kan det vara smart att kontakta en golvläggare i Chicago för tips och råd, det är aldrig roligt när det inte blir bra gjort.
