It is hard to see actual colors bc of the lighting in the photo - is this the color of the tub?
It is described as a vintage french vanilla sink on etsy -
aesthetically i think you can likely keep it but imo it will take careful combination of old and new to not look disjointed -
i agree you will want to think about the waterproofing behind the tile so perhaps easier to just do a total gut and replace - we did this recently in an old home (our original tub had been refinished too many times) and it did feel nice to know everything was waterproofed as it should be

Yes, ceiling mounted curtain rods exist. Just google it and you’ll see lots of different styles and finishes to suit your taste. You’ll also need an extra long shower curtain. I would spurge on this to make sure you get a curtain that works well with the color of the tub. Alll the other finishes can work off of those two finishes. If you can’t find a ready made curtain, I’d find a fabric and have one made.
