Ok I’m more used to calling it lychnis. And yes they are orange, I’ll post them once they bloom.

Ok here is my lychnic miqueliana. They don’t really thrive in my garden but self seeds every year to make one lanky single stemmed plant that just dies after it flowers and seeds.

8-16-2026:

After getting tipped over 45d in a storm, the P. banksiana appears to have recovered.

7ft. tall, 8 ft. crown width and 3" caliper.

The snow piled up good on the south side of this tree, which is in the area of the Hemlock and Serbian spruce, for greater winter protection (good snow fence). ;-)
