Modern, Mid-Century, downright quirky, minimalist wanna-be. My mother always said, "If you put things together that you really love, things that make you feel good, that make you smile, it will all work together." She also said, "Don't have too many 'statement' pieces in one room; you won't be able to live with all the 'noise'."
Mitt nästa projekt: After renting for 12 years during our stay in Switzerland, where we had an amazing 3000 sq ft loft in a converted old factory, we moved back to the U.S. and a 1500 sq ft condo, before settling into an even smaller 1956 ranch style home on a wooded acre. We've got more ideas than we have space or budget, but I love the challenge of making this place truly our own.
Om mig: I'm a marketing communications professional helping small architecture firms attract ideal clients and win better projects to grow their businesses. At heart, I'm an architecture and design geek.

Growing up in Stamford, Connecticut in the 1960s, I was surrounded by icons of contemporary design -- our Scandinavian furniture, visits to the United Nations, the Guggenheim museum, my father’s Eames chair -- and my mother’s artistic design sensibilities: We never lived in a house she didn’t remodel, rebuild, or redecorate. My mother would take me and my brother to picnic atop a stone wall near the Philip Johnson’s glass house. The world I grew up in looked like a set from Mad Men or maybe a bit more like reruns of the Dick Van Dyke show.

During my (brief) attempt at a studio arts major, it was Art History -- specifically Architecture -- that captured my imagination. I discovered other people knew about my childhood picnic location back in Connecticut. I never gave up my love of art and architecture. My professional pursuits took me into Public Relations, where I found my niche working with manufacturing clients in industries like building and construction, and architecture and design. Client projects gave me opportunities to attend NeoCon, the National Home Builders show, and Heimtextil.

My PR career took me to Zurich, Switzerland. Living and working in the center of Europe, I was able to visit the art and architectural legends and hidden treasures I had studied in text books years before.

While in Zurich, I delved deeper into the world of visual media, starting my own boutique agency to bring words and pictures together in videos and photographs. And I discovered I'll never be a true minimalist when it comes to home design.

In early 2012, my husband and I returned to the US and settled near family on the sunny coastline of southwest Florida. Once again, we've merged our professional skills with our personal passions into our own agency specializing in visual storytelling and creative communications to help businesses succeed.

...when I'm not distracted by my own (new home) projects!
