This kitchen is gorgeous and gave me an idea. Use the teal color to paint that little detail piece over the sink to bring in some color...assuming it works with whatever you decide on overall.

This is one of the few mixed colors that has caught my eye. I love teal, and this might be a way of infusing color and going a little bold and breaking up all the darker wood that we seem to both be attracted to for the cabinets and the floor. I just don't know if it's too trendy. the darker cabinets are the color we like, and they seem classic.
