on the house plan we've chosen, we need to extend the deck around the side of the house where the fireplace sits along the exterior wall, in order to allow some patio space for the hot tub that won't block our view from the main living room. We don't want to be looking out the living room window and see the hot tub. So this type of deck might solve that problem. It will also preserve our view of the ocean from the hot tub. Also get a little white table for drinks beside the hot tub similar to the one shown in wood here
