Courtney Thomas DesignWe planned a thoughtful redesign of this beautiful home while retaining many of the existing features. We wanted this house to feel the immediacy of its environment. So we carried the exterior front entry style into the interiors, too, as a way to bring the beautiful outdoors in. In addition, we added patios to all the bedrooms to make them feel much bigger. Luckily for us, our temperate California climate makes it possible for the patios to be used consistently throughout the year.
The original kitchen design did not have exposed beams, but we decided to replicate the motif of the 30" living room beams in the kitchen as well, making it one of our favorite details of the house. To make the kitchen more functional, we added a second island allowing us to separate kitchen tasks. The sink island works as a food prep area, and the bar island is for mail, crafts, and quick snacks.
We designed the primary bedroom as a relaxation sanctuary – something we highly recommend to all parents. It features some of our favorite things: a cognac leather reading chair next to a fireplace, Scottish plaid fabrics, a vegetable dye rug, art from our favorite cities, and goofy portraits of the kids.

Larisa McShane & AssociatesIn the shower, oval accent tile runs vertically rather than horizontally, breaking up the expanse of white. Chrome rain shower head, massage hand held shower, and chrome fixtures are echoed in the metal edge that surrounds the storage niche, a more modern touch than traditional white bullnose tile.
Joy Street DesignA colorful makeover for a little girl’s bathroom. The goal was to make bathtime more fun and enjoyable, so we opted for striking teal accents on the vanity and built-in. Balanced out by soft whites, grays, and woods, the space is bright and cheery yet still feels clean, spacious, and calming. Unique cabinets wrap around the room to maximize storage and save space for the tub and shower.
Cabinet color is Hemlock by Benjamin Moore.

Designs by KSUpstairs we carried the island millwork colour into the primary bedroom ensuite bathroom and topped it off with the NaturalCalacatta Corchia Marble countertops. This is another space packed full of storage. Designing drawers in a bathroom vanity almost doubles the storage space compared to your typical cabinet door. And below those drawers…the toe kick contains a hidden drawer where you can store your bathmats, scales, or any little items you may want to hide away in this secret compartment. The mirrors also open with medicine cabinet storage hidden behind.

Laura Lee HomeThis master bath was an explosion of travertine and beige.
The clients wanted an updated space without the expense of a full remodel. We layered a textured faux grasscloth and painted the trim to soften the tones of the tile. The existing cabinets were painted a bold blue and new hardware dressed them up. The crystal chandelier and mirrored sconces add sparkle to the space. New larger mirrors bring light into the space and a soft linen roman shade with embellished tassel fringe frames the bathtub area. Our favorite part of the space is the well traveled Turkish rug to add some warmth and pattern to the space. A treasured piece of art from their trip to Italy found its forever home in the redone bath.

Eclectic Design SourceWe tore out the shower and made walk in shower - bathtub combination. Custom vanity with quartz top. Shower has pebble stone floor, large plank tile on walls & floor. White quartz counter top. Custom mirror was made and painted to match vanity. Large masculine handles were the finishing touch.
