Kattenburg Architects On the top floor Anna and Brian each have large offices separated by a Jack and Jill bath and walk in closets. The outdoor balcony on the second floor provides a sitting area with a great valley view and a quatrefoil opening at the end that targets the lush California greenery. Matching barbed quatrefoil windows are also to be found in the kitchen and master wardrobe area. Ceramic murals and pieces of Brian and Anna’s art collection are encountered at key points around the perimeter of the house and also within the house. The roof is a classic clay tile roof with half round copper gutters and round downspouts. The rounded entry turret has deeply inset windows reminiscent of early adobe construction. Chosen by the owners, a boutique in Santa Barbara carefully crafted the black wrought iron lanterns used throughout the house.

Paul Langston InteriorsOur client moved into a modern apartment in South East London with a desire to warm it up and bring the outside in. We set about transforming the space into a lush, rustic, rural sanctuary with an industrial twist.
We stripped the ceilings and wall back to their natural substrate, which revealed textured concrete and beautiful steel beams. We replaced the carpet with richly toned reclaimed pine and introduced a range of bespoke storage to maximise the use of the space. Finally, the apartment was filled with plants, including planters and living walls, to complete the "outside inside" feel.

Phantom ScreensLocated in the foothills of the North Georgia Appalachians, Big Canoe is just one hour north of Atlanta. Designed as a dream retirement home, this luxurious lodge melds mountainous terrain with many custom features and modern amenities.
During the warmer months, the homeowners enjoy spending time on their back porch, entertaining and taking in the spectacular views. In order to combat the biting insects, allow the cool breezes to flow through their home and preserve unobstructed views, the home owners requested retractable screens to be installed on their doors, windows, and back porch.
Screens of Georgia, Phantom Screens Authorized Distributor, installed Professional retractable door screens on several doorways throughout the home. Providing natural ventilation while keeping insects out of the house, the screens blend with custom doorways and retract out of sight when not in use. Perfect for the oversized front double-French entryway, Professional door screens do not detract from the look and feel of the lodge design.
Robert Young ArchitectsPerched on a bluff overlooking Block Island Sound, the property is a flag lot at the edge of a new subdivision, bordered on three sides by water, wetlands, and woods. The client asked us to design a house with a minimal impact on the pristine landscape, maximum exposure to the views and all the amenities of a year round vacation home.
The basic requirements of each space were considered integrally with the effects of sunlight, breezes and views. The house was conceived as a lens, continually framing and magnifying the subtle changes in the surrounding environment.
Harwood Design Builders Ltd.This new two story home was an infill home in an established, sought after neighborhood with a stunning river view.
Although not huge in stature, this home is huge on presence with a modern cottage look featuring three two story columns clad in natural longboard and stone, grey earthtone acrylic stucco, staggered roofline, and the typography of the lot allowed for exquisite natural landscaping.
Inside is equally impressive with features including:
- Radiant heat floors on main level, covered by engineered hardwoods and 2' x 4' travertini Lexus tile
- Grand entry with custom staircase
- Two story open concept living, dining and kitchen areas
- Large, fully appointed butler's pantry
- Glass encased wine feature wall

- Custom lighting indoors and out for stunning evening illumination
- Large 2nd floor balcony with views of the river.
- R-value of this new build was increased to improve efficiencies by using acrylic stucco, upgraded over rigid insulation and using sprayfoam on the interior walls.
