As you can see this pool is planned on a fairly steep slope. The regulations for the wetlands made this project even more challenging. Over 400 yards of material was carted away in order to make this project a reality.
This pool and spa features a silver marbledust, a “floating” deep end bench, dyed gray joints for the patio, a digital control pad mounted in the stone next to the spa, wireless remote, and retaining walls veneered using colonial blue wall stone. The high efficiency “hybrid” pool pumps are all fed using 3″ plumbing custom bent with a pipe bender. The spa has 22 high powered hydrotherapy jets. The pool and spa are sanitized using a saltwater generator. The spa was added as an afterthought, after the pool was completed.

Sloped planting area was created behind the retaining wall. A stacked stone veneer gave the spa a more modern look. The pool was then updated with a fresh glass tile and colored plaster.

Cipriano Landscape Design & Custom Swimming PoolsOn the mountainous backdrop of this swimming pool, the custom waterfall design and grotto provides a peaceful retreat. The artificial rock formation accurately mimics one of nature’s unique wonders by providing a natural escape behind the privacy of a large waterfall. The concrete matches natural stone formations with meticulous placement, specific coloring, and purposeful cracks and crevices. Conveniently, the Saddle River NJ homeowners can swim into the grotto from the pool, or they can enter and exit through a rugged gap in the stone, leading directly to the cabana.
David Rolston Landscape ArchitectsA Contemporary Spanish / Mediterranean eclectic home in the Park Cities area of Dallas had a very basic front yard, and only grass and some mature Magnolias and a Pecan in the backyard from the previous home.
We added a new front entry at the sidewalk, using the brick and cast stone from the house for replication, and expanded the plantings to include more texture and color.
In the back yard a medium sized dipping pool, using Ann Sacks glass tiles and dark plaster, with a raised wall and scuppers makes a focal point to the existing outdoor living areas.
