Cláudia de Sousa - Interior DesignLos clientes me contactaran para realizar una reforma de la área living de su casa porque no se sentían a gusto con los espacios que tenían, ya que eran muy cerrados, obstruyan la luz y no eran prácticos para su estilo de vida.
De este modo, lo primero que sugerimos ha sido tirar las paredes del hall de entrada, eliminar el armario empotrado en esa área que también bloqueaba el espacio y la pared maestra divisoria entre la cocina y salón.
Hemos redistribuido el espacio para una cocina y hall abiertos con una península que comunican con el comedor y salón.
El resultado es un espacio living acogedor donde toda la familia puede convivir en conjunto, sin ninguna barrera. La casa se ha vuelto mas luminosa y comunica también con el espacio exterior. Los clientes nos comentaran que muchas veces dejan la puerta del jardín abierta y pueden estar cocinando y viendo las plantas del exterior, lo que para ellos es un placer.
Los muebles de la cocina se han dibujado à medida y realizado con nuestro carpintero de confianza. Para el color de los armarios se han realizado varias muestras, hasta que conseguimos el tono ideal, ya que era un requisito muy importante. Todos los electrodomésticos se han empotrado y hemos dejado a vista 2 nichos para dar mas ligereza al mueble y poder colocar algo decorativo.
Cada vez más el espacio entre salón y cocina se diluye, entonces dibujamos cocinas que son una extensión de este espacio y le llamamos al conjunto el espacio Living o zona día.
A nivel de materiales, se han utilizado, tiradores de la marca italiana Formani, la encimera y salpicadero son de Porcelanosa Xstone, fregadero de Blanco, grifería de Plados, lámparas de la casa francesa Honoré Deco y papel de pared con hojas tropicales de Casamance.

In this Burbank remodeling project we took this 1200sq. bungalow home and turned it to a wonderful mixture of European modern kitchen space and calm transitional modern farmhouse furniture and flooring.
The kitchen was a true challenge since space was a rare commodity, but with the right layout storage and work space became abundant.
A floating 5' long sitting area was constructed and even the back face of the cabinets was used for wine racks.
Exterior was updated as well with new black windows, new stucco over layer and new light fixtures all around.
both bedrooms were fitted with huge 10' sliding doors overlooking the green backyard.
Bilotta Kitchen & HomeBilotta Senior Designer, Thomas Vecchio, and Patrick J. Hamilton of Patrick James Hamilton Designs, partnered on this Manhattan upper east side kitchen renovation. This nondescript ‘60’s co-op and galley kitchen were reimagined into a pre-war era gem by adding architectural details: paneling, coffers, and moldings. Widening the opening created an open vista. Upper panes of glass on the Bilotta Collection wall cabinets echo the apartment’s transoms and unite the two sections that are interrupted by the paneled structural column. To compensate for the shorter wall, storage is optimized with plentiful pullouts, dividers, and specialized organizers. The “dead end” under the window was eliminated by continuing cabinetry and countertop materials around the room.
Countertop wall cabinets create a hutch in full view of the dining room. With dark gray paint, corner posts and furniture base molding, the peninsula reads like an island and bridges the two areas. Quartz countertops sport “lightning bolt” veins for pattern. Sophisticated on-
trend brushed brass was employed on the cabinet pulls and knobs, faucet, sconces, and pendants. A gamechanger was extending the footprint of the kitchen into the hallway with two tall cabinets. One is allocated for cleaning supplies, bulk items, recycling, and the vacuum. The other conceals a built-in wine rack; glassware and bar items; a docking drawer for charging devices; and a Penda-flex rack for files. An absolutely stunning metamorphosis.

Pedini NWThis condo kitchen remodel completely transformed the space! We removed the builder-grade wood cabinetry that was originally installed in the building and put in sleek matte lacquer cabinets with Caesarstone countertops and full-height backsplash. The appliances also got an upgrade to a full Miele package! The wall on the left side of the island was originally solid and blocked the view of the space from the entry. We opened in up to become a "picture frame" wall since we couldn't remove the entire thing due to plumbing and electrical running through it. The result is a much brighter, open kitchen with far more storage!

The authentic timber cabinetry links well with the heritage yet brings the interior into the current era. Live edge timber shelving and a rusty pendant shade add depth and a rustic nature. This all ties well with the property's simple sturdy natural form. Clients benefit from a cooking zone separate from the casual seating, plenty of work-surface space and practical finishes for a real working kitchen. This project was successful in gaining heritage consent to move the boiler and add a doorway.

Nicolette Jarquin, CKDThis Scandinavian-inspired kitchen flaunts minimalism and neutral colors. The result is a comfortable, relaxing space that just feels good. We opened up the dividing wall between the kitchen and living room to create a peninsula with seating, with an open-table look with an open-ended cabinet for displaying treasures. We used a white painted upper to lighten up the space, on top of beautiful blonde maple bases. An added wood fire-box and display cubby, create a cozy, yet sophisticated element that can be seen right as you enter the home. Check out the before shots!
