Metropolis Drafting and Construction IncGray tones playfulness a kid’s bathroom in Oak Park.
This bath was design with kids in mind but still to have the aesthetic lure of a beautiful guest bathroom.
The flooring is made out of gray and white hexagon tiles with different textures to it, creating a playful puzzle of colors and creating a perfect anti slippery surface for kids to use.
The walls tiles are 3x6 gray subway tile with glossy finish for an easy to clean surface and to sparkle with the ceiling lighting layout.
A semi-modern vanity design brings all the colors together with darker gray color and quartz countertop.
In conclusion a bathroom for everyone to enjoy and admire.
Wow Great PlaceHow cool is this? We designed a pull-out tower, in three sections, beside "her" sink, to give the homeowner handy access for her make-up and hair care routine. We even installed the mirror exactly for her height! The sides of the pull-out were done in metal, to maximize the interior width of the shelves, and we even customized it so that the widest items she wanted to store in here would fit on these shelves!
Custom Design & ConstructionThis project is a whole home remodel that is being completed in 2 phases. The first phase included this bathroom remodel. The whole home will maintain the Mid Century styling. The cabinets are stained in Alder Wood. The countertop is Ceasarstone in Pure White. The shower features Kohler Purist Fixtures in Vibrant Modern Brushed Gold finish. The flooring is Large Hexagon Tile from Dal Tile. The decorative tile is Wayfair “Illica” ceramic. The lighting is Mid-Century pendent lights. The vanity is custom made with traditional mid-century tapered legs. The next phase of the project will be added once it is completed.

KCreative InteriorsThey say the magic thing about home is that it feels good to leave and even better to come back and that is exactly what this family wanted to create when they purchased their Bondi home and prepared to renovate. Like Marilyn Monroe, this 1920’s Californian-style bungalow was born with the bone structure to be a great beauty. From the outset, it was important the design reflect their personal journey as individuals along with celebrating their journey as a family. Using a limited colour palette of white walls and black floors, a minimalist canvas was created to tell their story. Sentimental accents captured from holiday photographs, cherished books, artwork and various pieces collected over the years from their travels added the layers and dimension to the home. Architrave sides in the hallway and cutout reveals were painted in high-gloss black adding contrast and depth to the space. Bathroom renovations followed the black a white theme incorporating black marble with white vein accents and exotic greenery was used throughout the home – both inside and out, adding a lushness reminiscent of time spent in the tropics. This contemporary master bathroom has all the elements of a roman bath—it’s beautiful, serene and decadent. Double showers and a partially sunken Jacuzzi add to its’ functionality. The large skylight and window flood the bathroom with light. The muted colors of the tile are juxtaposed with a pop of color from the multihued glass tile in the niches.

Bay Area Home DesignMoorish styled bathroom features hand-painted tiles from Spain, custom cabinets with custom doors, and hand-painted mirror. The alcove for the bathtub was built to form a niche with an arched top and the border thick enough to feature stone mosaic tiles. The window frame was cut to follow the same arch contour as the one above the tub. The two symmetrical cabinets resting on the counter create a separate “vanity space.
Susan Cohen DesignThe Powder room was tiny so we mirrored the entire wall which doubled the size of the demi lune iron vanity we designed. a copper sink blends in with the deep terra cotta color on the walls. The Mexican pendant lights are pierced and shed tiny lights through the powder room.

Move over metro tiles and line a wall with fabulously funky Fish Scale designs. Also known as scallop, fun or mermaid tiles, this pleasing-to-the-eye shape is a Moroccan tile classic that's trending hard right now and offers a sophisticated alternative to metro/subway designs. Prime 1 BuildersThis project won in the 2013 Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh Housing Excellence Award for Best Urban Renewal Renovation Project. The glass bowl was made in the glass studio owned by the owner which is adjacent to the residence. The mirror is a repurposed window. The door is repurposed from a boarding house.
