How thick is the coping? 2"?

A little less than 2".

Is coping eased edge or bluenosed?

It is bullnose in this case, though you can also get it with an eased edge.

I want to do something similar w grass (turf) near the coping. I live in Utah, so cold winters. Do you know if there are any concerns w having the trim/pavers near coping regarding freeze/thaw and the ground expanding? Any idea?

I'm super late on posting this....This picture was our inspiration for our pool & it literally turned out perfect. We have had it for approx 5 years & absolutely love it. The turf is awesome, but it can get hot on REALLY hot Texas summer days. If the temp near ls 95-100+ its hotter than the travertine. I took this pic last night

Looks amazing. My pool guy doesn’t want to do it. Did you have a specialist who did the turf and pavers are your cement person?

Thanks! We used 1 company for the pool and another for the truf, pavers, & landscaping. The pavers and pool coping are travertine.
