Addition to Historic Chevy Chase Maryland House
On the main level, the side addition and allows the one side of the house to have an open kitchen, dining, living room. Along the back of the house is a new mudroom, pantry, powder room, and butler’s pantry. The existing dining room is now a library and the entry foyer and stairs remain the same. We widened the opening between the entry foyer and the great room.
Off the breakfast nook, a door leads to a small covered porch that steps down to a patio. French doors in the living room also open to the patio. The patio steps down to a dining and seating area, with a new hot tub on one corner.
