Cheshire Barn Conversion
This project involved RMD transforming an ageing barn and dated kitchen into an incredible home for our wonderful clients. After extensive work the space was transformed into a stylish and inviting area incorporating underfloor heating, Lutron lighting, top of the range appliances and a designated coffee and breakfast station. Bespoke cabinetry included cupboards specially designed to house the clients large range of health foods such as nuts and seeds, stored in uniform jars.
Keen to compliment the countryside view from within the property, plants were added in response to the clients desire for a natural feel, also filling the clients brief in improving air cleanliness and well being. Large windows and doors accompanied by wave-headed voiles allowed light and nature to be brought into the space, creating the means to let the outdoors in. The neutral colour pallet had an emphasis on texture by using different materials to match the relaxed Ibiza feel presented in the brief and the large porcelain tile floor used throughout the kitchen area incorporated underfloor heating to make it both stylish and practical. The Cheshire Barn Conversion won an award in the UK Property Awards 2021 for the best kitchen design in the North West.
