There is something fresh and clean about a green and white kitchen. White tract-home cabinets were replaced with substantial green ones--mostly drawers as the base cabinets--topped with a row of tilt-up glass-insert upper cabinets. The 8-ft. ceiling was raised one foot, removing the fluorescent light box and adding recessed lights and pendants.
Clients kept their white appliances and selected an icestone countertop of white substrate and bottle green recycled glass chips. Similar bottle green glass subway tile was used for the backsplash and a sensible window sill installation. Refinished wood floors flow into the dining room and living room.
