Gutted the bathroom and created a curb less shower. Installed a wall mount faucet and larger vessel sink with vanity. Used white subway tile for shower and waincotting behind sink and toilet. Added shiplap on remaining walls. Installed a marble shelf over sink and toilet. Installed new window and door casings to match the old house moldings. Added crown molding. Installed a recessed light/fan over shower. Installed a chandelier and lighted mirror over sink/toilet. WC Design CenterWho wouldn't love to enjoy a "wine down" in this gorgeous primary bath? We gutted everything in this space, but kept the tub area. We updated the tub area with a quartz surround to modernize, installed a gorgeous water jet mosaic all over the floor and added a dark shiplap to tie in the custom vanity cabinets and barn doors. The separate double shower feels like a room in its own with gorgeous tile inset shampoo shelf and updated plumbing fixtures.
Artistic Design And RemodelingLight and Airy shiplap bathroom was the dream for this hard working couple. The goal was to totally re-create a space that was both beautiful, that made sense functionally and a place to remind the clients of their vacation time. A peaceful oasis. We knew we wanted to use tile that looks like shiplap. A cost effective way to create a timeless look. By cladding the entire tub shower wall it really looks more like real shiplap planked walls.
The center point of the room is the new window and two new rustic beams. Centered in the beams is the rustic chandelier.

This client came to us in a bit of a panic when she realized that she really wanted her bathroom to be updated by March 1st due to having 2 daughters getting married in the spring and one graduating. We were only about 5 months out from that date, but decided we were up for the challenge.
The beautiful historical home was built in 1896 by an ornithologist (bird expert), so we took our cues from that as a starting point. The flooring is a vintage basket weave of marble and limestone, the shower walls of the tub shower conversion are clad in subway tile with a vintage feel. The lighting, mirror and plumbing fixtures all have a vintage vibe that feels both fitting and up to date. To give a little of an eclectic feel, we chose a custom green paint color for the linen cabinet, mushroom paint for the ship lap paneling that clads the walls and selected a vintage mirror that ties in the color from the existing door trim. We utilized some antique trim from the home for the wainscot cap for more vintage flavor.
The drama in the bathroom comes from the wallpaper and custom shower curtain, both in William Morris’s iconic “Strawberry Thief” print that tells the story of thrushes stealing fruit, so fitting for the home’s history. There is a lot of this pattern in a very small space, so we were careful to make sure the pattern on the wallpaper and shower curtain aligned.
A sweet little bird tie back for the shower curtain completes the story...

Paradise Tiny Homes LLCThe Soaking Tub! I love working with clients that have ideas that I have been waiting to bring to life. All of the owner requests were things I had been wanting to try in an Oasis model. The table and seating area in the circle window bump out that normally had a bar spanning the window; the round tub with the rounded tiled wall instead of a typical angled corner shower; an extended loft making a big semi circle window possible that follows the already curved roof. These were all ideas that I just loved and was happy to figure out. I love how different each unit can turn out to fit someones personality.
The Oasis model is known for its giant round window and shower bump-out as well as 3 roof sections (one of which is curved). The Oasis is built on an 8x24' trailer. We build these tiny homes on the Big Island of Hawaii and ship them throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

Balboa Design GroupGreat design makes all the difference - bold material choices were just what was needed to give this little bathroom some BIG personality! Our clients wanted a dark, moody vibe, but had always heard that using dark colors in a small space would only make it feel smaller. Not true!
Introducing a larger vanity cabinet with more storage and replacing the tub with an expansive walk-in shower immediately made the space feel larger, without any structural alterations. We went with a dark graphite tile that had a mix of texture on the walls and in the shower, but then anchored the space with white shiplap on the upper portion of the walls and a graphic floor tile (with mostly white and light gray tones). This technique of balancing dark tones with lighter tones is key to achieving those moody vibes, without creeping into cavernous territory. Subtle gray/blue/green tones on the vanity blend in well, but still pop in the space, and matte black fixtures add fantastic contrast to really finish off the whole look!
