This Jersey City, NJ space was the first permanent ‘home’ for the yoga studio, so it was essential for us to listen well and design a space to serve their needs for years to come. Through our design process, we helped to guide the owners through the fit-out of their new studio location that required minimal demolition and disruption to the existing space. Together, we converted a space originally used as a preschool into a welcoming, spacious yoga studio for local yogis. We created one main yoga studio by combining four small classrooms into a single larger space with new walls, while all the other program spaces (including designated areas for holistic treatments, massage, and bodywork) were accommodated into pre-existing rooms. Our team completed all demo, sheetrock, electrical, and painting aspects of the project. (The studio owners did some of the work themselves, and a different company installed the flooring and carpets.) The results speak for themselves: a peaceful, restorative space to facilitate health and healing for the studio’s community. Looking to renovate your place of business? Då kan ett hemmagym vara någonting för dig. Att bygga ett hemmagym är dock inte det lättaste du kan tänka dig, framförallt inte hur det ska planeras och vad ditt hemmagym innehålla. Därför har vi skrivit ner några rader som kan vara bra att ha med dig om du går i tankar på att skaffa ett hemgym, oavsett om du tänkt bygga ditt hemmagym själv eller låta någon annan göra det. Vad ska jag ha för träningsredskap i mitt hemmagym?

Det är givetvis individuellt, beroende på hur du gillar att träna och så vidare. Ett tips om du gillar maskiner är att köpa en multigym du kan använda för att träna många olika muskelgrupper. Bra för plånboken och du kan använda utrymmet i ditt gym hemma mer effektivt. Det finns gott om multigym, träningsmaskiner och träningsredskap för hemmagym, men att hitta rätt maskin kan vara klurigt, så ta kontakt med din återförsäljare och berätta vad du tänker dig så kan de säkert hjälpa dig. Många uppskattar också att ha ett löpband eller en crosstrainer för träning och fitness hemma. Vill du styrketräna hemma med fria vikter som hantlar och skivstång är det betydligt lättare att hitta träningsredskap som passar styrketräning.

Vad finns det för fördelar med att ha ett hem-gym?

Att gymma hemma har många fördelar. När du har ett gym i hemmet slipper du köpa gymkort, du behöver inte ta dig till gymmet och du kan gymma när du vill – även sena kvällar på röda dagar. Vilken lyx!
