BerkailSituée à Marseille, la pièce de cet appartement comprenant la cuisine ouverte et le salon avait besoin d’une bonne rénovation.
L’objectif ici était de repenser l’aménagement pour optimiser l’espace. Pour ce faire, nous avons conçu une banquette, accompagnée de niches en béton cellulaire, offrant ainsi une nouvelle dynamique à cette pièce, le tout sur mesure ! De plus une nouvelle cuisine était également au programme.
Une agréable surprise nous attendait lors du retrait du revêtement de sol : de magnifiques carrelages vintage ont été révélés. Plutôt que d'opter pour de nouvelles ressources, nous avons choisi de les restaurer et de les intégrer dans une partie de la pièce, une décision aussi astucieuse qu’excellente.
Le résultat ? Une pièce rénovée avec soin, créant un espace de vie moderne et confortable, mais aussi des clients très satisfaits !

ArtichokeThe long and welcoming room is flooded with natural light from floor to ceiling windows. The client wanted an understated kitchen designed using natural materials, sustainably sourced, that would wear with age and settle over time. They did not want a kitchen that felt like a modern insertion and yet it had to suit the needs of a contemporary family.
The work surfaces are all native hardwood at the client’s request, but well-sealed and protected. We also designed a sacrificial frame around the sink which can be replaced if the wood becomes damaged over time. The trench heater under the island is designed to deliver the right heat output for the room which has limited wall space.

The materials are classic but very special; the marble tile has a silk-screened pattern overlay, the butcher block island top is walnut with a furniture finish, the creamy-white cabinets are a modified shaker with a beveled edge, and the counters are durable Calcutta porcelain. The amazing over-scaled vintage pendants from France and the sleek brass and linen counter stools give the space a modern and fresh feel.

White Birch Design, LLCThis 1970's home had a complete makeover! The goal of the project was to 1) open up the main floor living and gathering spaces and 2) create a more beautiful and functional kitchen. We took out the dividing wall between the front living room and the kitchen and dining room to create one large gathering space, perfect for a young family and for entertaining friends!
Onto the exciting part - the kitchen! The existing kitchen was U-Shaped with not much room to have more than 1 person working at a time. We kept the appliances in the same locations, but really expanded the amount of workspace and cabinet storage by taking out the peninsula and adding a large island. The cabinetry, from Holiday Kitchens, is a blue-gray color on the lowers and classic white on the uppers. The countertops are walnut butcherblock on the perimeter and a marble looking quartz on the island. The backsplash, one of our favorites, is a diamond shaped mosaic in a rhombus pattern, which adds just the right amount of texture without overpowering all the gorgeous details of the cabinets and countertops. The hardware is a champagne bronze - one thing we love to do is mix and match our metals! The faucet is from Kohler and is in Matte Black, the sink is from Blanco and is white. The flooring is a luxury vinyl plank with a warm wood tone - which helps bring all the elements of the kitchen together we think!
Overall - this is one of our favorite kitchens to date - so many beautiful details on their own, but put together create this gorgeous kitchen!
