GMI Design GroupThis 1950's home was chopped up with the segmented rooms of the period. The front of the house had two living spaces, separated by a wall with a door opening, and the long-skinny hearth area was difficult to arrange. The kitchen had been remodeled at some point, but was still dated. The homeowners wanted more space, more light, and more MODERN. So we delivered.
We knocked out the walls and added a beam to open up the three spaces. Luxury vinyl tile in a warm, matte black set the base for the space, with light grey walls and a mid-grey ceiling. The fireplace was totally revamped and clad in cut-face black stone.
Cabinetry and built-ins in clear-coated maple add the mid-century vibe, as does the furnishings. And the geometric backsplash was the starting inspiration for everything.

NR InteriorsWe completely transformed the original small Kitchen into a space twice as large. The homeowner's love to cook and this new Kitchen is designed with both beauty and high function in mind with plenty of well designed storage, generous amount of counterspace and unique design features such as the quartersawn white oak table end of the island which intersects the beautiful white macabus quartzite waterfall edge. The two tone perimeter cabinets bring subtle interest to the space.
mossWe designed a split-level with a partial basement where the laundry room is located. The custom rift-sawn, oak wood perforated screen conceals the stairway leading to the second level. Seen here is the dining area and the custom kitchen island finished in a high-gloss blue lacquer.
SKP DesignSKP Design has completed a frame up renovation of a 1956 Spartan Imperial Mansion. We combined historic elements, modern elements and industrial touches to reimagine this vintage camper which is now the showroom for our new line of business called Ready To Roll.

You'll see a spectrum of materials, from high end Lumicor translucent door panels to curtains from Walmart. We invested in commercial LVT wood plank flooring which needs to perform and last 20+ years but saved on decor items that we might want to change in a few years. Other materials include a corrugated galvanized ceiling, stained wall paneling, and a contemporary spacious IKEA kitchen. Vintage finds include an orange chenille bedspread from the Netherlands, an antique typewriter cart from Katydid's in South Haven, a 1950's Westinghouse refrigerator and the original Spartan serial number tag displayed on the wall inside.

Borrelli Design+CabinetryOur recent job in the College area features a mid-century up-date. The Cabinetry is quarter sawn ebony and gloss white acrylic. A Miele appliance package consisting of a refrigerator, speed-oven, coffeemaker, wine storage, 36″ range and concealed hood was chosen to add sophisticated functionality to this kitchen. The other noticeable finishes are the quartz counter-top and Dawn Kitchen & Bath Products, Inc. 16 gallon stainless steel sink. All products and finishes were chosen from our show room.
