Kimble Brake Kitchen
This rural Oxfordshire kitchen combines strong bold geometry with quality and sustainable materials.
Celebrating the beauty of natural materials Oxfordshire oak was sourced from a local sawmill and then handcrafted into drawer fronts which were then set in a painted frame. Repurposing as much of the old worktops from the old kitchen as possible, shelves were made for the larder, with chopping boards and a solid oak tea tray created to give family members as gifts.
Using circular principles to design for disassembly, a glue less construction was adopted with as much of the waste designed out as possible. With a large colourful range as the central feature to the kitchen, integrated extractor, chunky open shelving to match the kitchen frame along with metro tiles and ceramic pendants in white they perfectly contrast and highlight the natural wood kitchen table and drawer fronts.
