Leawood Live Edge Ash Table with walnut chairs
A customer in Leawood, Kansas asked us to make a kitchen table for their family. They wanted to be involved in the process of choosing the reclaimed wood. Originally they were thinking they would like walnut wood, but they eventually chose some beautiful ash wood. Because of the emerald ash borer many ash trees have had to be removed from cities all across the US. Despite this tragedy, HAVA studios and many others are reclaiming this wood that would be sent to a burn pile into beautiful furniture, bar tops and other functional art work pieces such as bowls and serving boards. We were delighted to produce this ash kitchen table with custom steel fabricated base as well as provide the contrasting walnut wood chairs and matching bar stools.
