Private Residence: German Village
This complete kitchen reconfiguration and expansion added only 100 square feet to the overall house while creating a more open and entertainment friendly layout, 50% more storage, and better visual access to the rear yard. A narrow custom island incorporates cookbook shelving on one side and bar seating on the other. A half bath (which was entered from within the kitchen in its original condition) was reorganized to be entered from the hall, and become a sculptural element in the kitchen for art display.
