A stained and distressed mahogany island counter sits in the middle of the kitchen offering drawers for additional storage and shelves for displaying decorations. Meanwhile, hidden behind the perfectly proportioned cabinet panels are all the latest state-of-the-art appliances. The beautiful glass pendant lights instead of recessed fixtures in the ceiling further enhances the "true period" feel.
