Victorian Cottage Unfitted Kitchen
This kitchen is in a newly renovated Victorian cottage in the 19th C. textile manufacturing company town of Glencoe, NC.
Covenants dictated that the room's finishes such as the wall paneling and doors, windows and all trim could not be changed. So the owner chose 4 workstations to be 'placed' inside the finished room. Included is a custom 'ice box' that enclosed a standard refrigerator and a faded green laundry hutch that conceals a standard washer and dryer. The workstation in the foreground is one of our sink bases and the unit to the right is a range breakfront that conceals two ovens and features a honed black granite top.
