This renovation transformed the kitchen into a family and social-focused hub, designed for both everyday living and entertaining. With clever storage solutions, including a corner larder and ample drawers, the space is practical, organised, and perfect for bringing family and friends together.

An amazing social space incorporating the kitchen, an island to seat 6, a liquid metal bar, wine storage and a 10 person dining table. All the furniture was over-sized to suit the scale of the room and the 3 metre high ceilings.

We found working with Eco German Kitchens a real pleasure. Whilst working with 2 other building contractors on our home refurbishment project it was refreshing to have a company that were professional from conception to completion. After 3 meetings, Sabine designed our amazing kitchen and helped with really important factors like window placement, flooring type and wall postioning, as the kitchen was the main focus of our extension project. We had a concept of what we wanted to achieve and we really loved the product Eco had in the showroom. We were genuinely excited to be working with the team at Eco. We had a really tight deadline, which was booked months in advance, Eco were right on time with the installation team. When they arrived the design had to change slightly due to fabrication of the new extension. Again this was no problem for Eco as the professional installers and Sabine provided 2 solutions, both were really nice, so again this proved vital to the look off the project. The kitchen came in on budget, we felt it was important to disclose our intentions early on, as our whole refurb project was very costly. As the kitchen was our main focus point, we were adamant it had to meet budget and tick all the boxes. Eco returned some months later due to a product fault, the product manufacture responded same day and the Eco installer replaced the faulty product as soon as it arrived with us. The kitchen looks amazing and works seamlessly, the design suits us perfectly and its a real joy to use. The whole team have been fabulous and we would definitely recommend them. The owners of the property had slowly refurbished their home in phases.We were asked to look at the basement/lower ground layout with the intention of creating a open plan kitchen/dining area and an informal family area that was semi- connected. They needed more space and flexibility. To achieve this the side return was filled and we extended into the garden. This JT Classic in Corian® bespoke kitchen was installed in our clients' London residence as part of a complete refurbishment undertaken by Nash Baker Architects. A key element of the brief was to design a completely fitted kitchen yet not disturb the interior architecture of the Grade II-listed building. As part of our response to this we introduced a new feature in the form of 'coved' Corian® upstands at the worktop edges - a simple yet elegant and effective design detail. We were commissioned to design and make a bespoke kitchen and a separate dining space with banquette seating for our clients, who were in the process of having a new private home built on the outskirts of Winchester. Following these initial projects, we were then briefed to design and create all the fitted furniture for the pantry, laundry room, boot room, banquette seating for the bedroom, a walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom vanity. We worked closely with our clients who had a distinct vision of the aesthetic they were seeking, so our role was to interpret their requirements to create a beautiful kitchen and dining area, designed with perfect flow and functionality, and perfectly in-keeping with the rest of the space. The entire ground floor is neutrally decorated in Stone 1 by Paint & Paper Library on the walls and ceiling. It has large black steel Crittall windows throughout, with full-height Crittall doors leading to the garden. Matching internal glazed panel doors lead to a separate drawing room, while the rest of the ground floor is dedicated to the open plan kitchen and entertaining area. The hand-laid patterned Ash flooring was chosen during the design process so the dark stain of the vertical grain Oak veneered fronts, and plinth on the island was chosen to complement it. All Antique Brass knobs and handles are by Armac Martin and all Antique Brass wall brackets are by Corston Architectural. These complement the pendant and wall lights by Apparatus Studio and wall lights above the sink run by Blue Print Lighting NYC. There are two main runs of cabinetry which are made using dark stained oak carcases and solid oak shelves. The 22mm thick door and drawer fronts feature 18mm broken ogee bead mouldings and all are handpainted in Stone 2 by Paint & Paper Library. The tall run behind the island runs floor-to-ceiling with a moulded cornice at the top matching the cornicing in the rest of the room. Five storage top boxes run along the length of the cabinetry and are situated above (from left) a tall integrated cabinet for glasses, next to an integrated tall freezer by Gaggenau. At the centre is housing for a bank of Gaggenau Vario 400 cooking appliances consisting of a single oven with a combination microwave above and a 29cm culinary drawer beneath. A reduced height top box and a shallow drawer for racks and trays are above and below. To the right is a tall integrated fridge next to an integrated three-zone wine conditioning cabinet, all by Gaggenau. On the task side, directly in front of the bank of ovens, is a personalised Gaggenau cook centre mounted within the 3.6m x 1.3m island’s 30mm thick Bianco Superiore Honed Quartzite worktop. This comprises a domino gas hob, domino induction hob and domino teppan yaki, separated by two downdraft extractors in-between and all feature rotary controls integrated within cabinetry beneath. The entire hob set is rebated into the worktop providing a completely flush finish. Also on the task side are handleless deep drawers for pots and pans beneath handleless shallow drawers for cutlery and utensils. At one end of the island is a square ceramic undermount sink by Shaws and Quooker Fusion Pro3 Boiling Water Tap with a special finish, which is used for food preparation. The facing side of the island features further handleless cabinets, all with pull-out shelves on soft close runners, together with further shallow storage drawers above them. The long sink run extends beneath a large Crittall window. Undercounter from left is an integrated pull-out fridge by Liebherr next to two pull-out storage drawers and a cabinet for pull-out bins. At the centre is a Shaws Entwistle single bowl sink with an aged brass Perrin & Rowe Ionian Tap. Beneath the farmhouse style sink is a 30mm quartzite sill to accommodate for spils and splashes protecting the painted woodwork of the sink cabinet, a signature addition by Searle & Taylor. To the right of the sink is a 60cm integrated dishwasher by Miele adjacent to further deep and shallow storage drawers. At the end of the run is a specially designed cabinet for two dark oak pull-out trays and two solid dark oak pull-out chopping boards, another signature design by Searle & Taylor. Matching the quartzite worktop is a 30mm splashback and upstand in the same material. In addition, there are four 30mm thick quartzite shelves with with ogee edged moulding, that sit upon the Corston Architectural brackets. To the right of the kitchen area is the dining area within a triple window recess. Built within the bay is a large bespoke banquette seating area made by Searle & Taylor, with piano-hinged lids to provide hidden cushion storage behind the seats. LED lighting runs at the base of the cabinetry to make a feature of the seating at night. On either side of the banquette are alcove cabinets in the same dark oak stained veneer as the kitchen island and kitchen accents. An oval dark oak Miniforms Monoplauto dining table from Go Modern sits at the centre with two further Fritz Harken Series 7 dining chairs from The Conran Shop.

This kitchen was designed to be hidden away. Our clients can hold drinks parties and soirees without their kitchen being on show. A rolling library ladder makes full use of the 4metre ceiling height with extra storage. We took a mould of the original coving so the new cabinets look like they have always been part of the original room

Whitecross Street is our renovation and rooftop extension of a former Victorian industrial building in East London, previously used by Rolling Stones Guitarist Ronnie Wood as his painting Studio. Our renovation transformed it into a luxury, three bedroom / two and a half bathroom city apartment with an art gallery on the ground floor and an expansive roof terrace above.

Working alongside our client’s building contractors, we were commissioned to design and make a bespoke in-frame hand-painted kitchen with a stunning island as the central focus. Situated in a 40 sq. metre open plan space, the 16 sq. metre kitchen has a door that leads on to a utility room, also designed by Simon Taylor Furniture. Our clients wanted a traditional in frame hand-painted kitchen with raised and fielded panel doors and end panels with symmetrical framed pilasters on each corner of the island. They required plenty of storage and because of the island’s generous 3m x 1.3m dimensions, we were able to incorporate cupboards on both sides with a recessed area facing the kitchen for two bar stools. For the task side, we made 45cm oak dovetail drawers on either side of 90cm versions at the centre, with a cupboard at one end and a pull-out bin at the other. The drawers at the centre have a 40cm depth in order to sit in front of the concealed ventilation tower of the Novy Panorama 90cm vented downdraft induction hob that is situated flush within the worktop. When in use, the tower rises up by up to 30cm to withdraw cooking odours directly next to the pans, therefore no overhead extraction is required in the room. The island is painted in Hague Blue by Farrow & Ball, the white 20mm worktops are Misty Carrera Quartz by Caesarstone. The run of cabinetry facing the island is painted in Dimpse by Farrow & Ball, includes a wet area with a 60cm Siemens integrated dishwasher within and a white undermount sink by Shaws of Darwen that includes an InSinkerator food waste disposer. A Hestia U-spout tap by Franke sits alongside a Quooker PRO3 Nordic Square boiling water tap. Overhead cupboards are in two sizes and base cabinetry features a two-door utility cupboard. To the left is a tall floor-to-ceiling housing featuring a bank of cooking appliances from the Pureline collection by Miele – a 45cm combination microwave above a 60cm pyrolytic single oven with a 29cm warming drawer. A storage cupboard sits above the appliance bank, with drawer beneath. At the other end of this run is a further floor-to-ceiling door front for a tall integrated larder fridge by Siemens. To the left of the double doors leading to the family room, is a further run of floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, which incorporates a breakfast cabinet with bi-fold doors, a drawer for napkins and cutlery and a two-door cupboard beneath. This is next to a full-size pantry larder with oak internals and spice racks built into the doors. All chrome knobs and hinges are by Crofts and Assinder and the pendant lights are by John Lewis. In order to maintain the symmetry of the open plan room, the ceiling cornicing runs throughout the kitchen above all tall furniture.

Situated just south of Kensington Palace and Gardens (one of the most prestigious locations in London), we find this lovely slim U-shaped kitchen full of style and beauty. Smaller in size but the sleek lines are still evident in this project within the tall cornices and external skirting. We loved working in this stately Victorian building! Our client’s luxury bespoke kitchen journey began with a visit to The Handmade Kitchen Co showroom. The couple were able to see the exquisite quality of our furniture for themselves which would provide them with a unique and personal space that would be loved for many years to come. Our client wanted to showcase their impeccably good taste and opted for our Traditional Raised shaker. It has been highlighted with a black paint hand-painted onto the cabinets known as Black Beauty by Benjamin Moore. It’s a rich shade of black with a hint of warmth. Versatile and sophisticated, black is a colour that can enhance any style of home, whether cosy or chic, soft or bold. Incorporating black paint, whether subtly or boldly, can make a significant impact on interior design. This kitchen isn’t just a culinary experience but is designed to make memories with loved ones in the space they call the heart of the home. Enhancing the cooking journey is the Rangemaster Classic Deluxe 110cm Dual Fuel Range Cooking in Black & Brass Trim which has been put alongside the cutting-edge Westin Prime extractor. Having a clear direction of how our clients wanted their kitchen style, they opted for a Nivito Brass sink, Quooker PRO3 Fusion Round Tap in Gold & Quooker Cube and a Quooker Soak Dispenser in Gold. All three items instantly add grandeur to the space, while maintaining a balanced and understated presence. To offset the boldness of the Black Beauty cabinetry, the Calacatta Viola Marble Honed worktops provide a striking contrast with their pristine polished finish. This juxtaposition creates a visually captivating and inviting kitchen space. The intricate features make up the kitchen design and the ones in this space are the decorative cornices and the Armac Martin ‘Bakes’ cabinet handles in burnished brass. Throughout this London townhouse, there was beautiful scribing in each room. Our client wanted it to flow nicely throughout the whole property and added it to the rooms we designed – the kitchen and bedroom. Adding to the theme and grandeur of the building, these decorative cornices look beautiful amongst the high ceilings.
