yes. we originally specified a white tile but I was concerned the grout lines would detract from the chevron pattern. also it meant we had to be spot on with the height of the bath wall niche so tiles would line up. So we decided to run the Venetian plaster detail from elsewhere in the house on all other walls of the bathroom. It's not cheap so be mindful of that. Depending on the arrangement of your room you could also look at slab tiles. Large format tiles that can be as large as 1m X 3m which go on the wall as a panel. The aim is to align joins to suit edge of fittings or some other relevant line. The less joins on the side walls the better to make the chevron pattern pop.
