Dislike: Someone proposed a 2 level counter. I think it creates problems for our use. A family of 4 doesn’t fit.

I like the amount of light entering through the windows. Bright kitchen! Also the color of the kitchen table.

Visually appealing locker style storage for entryway. We also need a shoe storage wall, otherwise how do we fit our combined 20 pair of boots and shoes. Nice to have a closet for overflow/off-season items.

Flipping the fridge, stove and sink around from our current layout. Note: i don’t want the sink on the island. The island is for serving, prep work, and sitting, much like a bar. Some preferences include: adequate clearance between the refrigerator doors and island, generous counter depth, sink proximity to double dishwashers.

What is the optimal height for a hood? This one is tall, does it have the power to adequately pull smoke? Something to cosider, an island with wooden ledge. Would make dining a challenge, but looks nice.

Storage for pans, I think we have too many to fit. Horizontal might continue to be better unless we can solve for our inventory!
