It really depends on whether you want your walls to be a statement or a backdrop. Both can work, of course. Color is purely a personal preference. I have an aversion to white walls, but others find gray depressing or beige too boring. My all-time favorite neutral is BM Oakwood Manor. I have not found a color that doesn't work with it.

In my ideabook called Studio I've saved photos/ comments from designers.... 2" wide aluminum in all widths. More elegant possibly with sheers with fullness.[https://www.houzz.com/products/roomdividersnow-ceiling-track-sets-for-spaces-up-to-36-wide-medium-6ft-1-prvw-vr~50480367[(https://www.houzz.com/products/roomdividersnow-ceiling-track-sets-for-spaces-up-to-36-wide-medium-6ft-1-prvw-vr~50480367)

Hard to tell from that angle, but it looks like maybe an end panel failure. Did the installers place finished ends or did they come pre-finished? Does it move in and out a little? If it's a finished end-panel you may be able to doctor it up. You need some wood glue, a squeeze clamp with pads, and a couple of pieces of wood. First you'd carefully clamp a small scrap (about 3"x3") of plywood to the right hand edge of the countertop. If it goes up against a wall, just use the wall instead of a clamp. Then take another 3x3 piece of ply and place it up against that corner of the panel. Then measure the distance between the two pieces of ply and cut a skinny piece of wood about 1/4" longer than your measurement to wedge in there as a brace. Mock it all up dry. Then try to squish glue back inside of it as much as you can. Then clean it up with a damp cloth and make sure no glue comes in contact with the wood that will be touching your cabinet. This is very important. Once it's glued and cleaned, stick your wood pieces all together. Place the ply that's against the cabinet far enough clear of the glue that you can wipe any that squishes out. Keep it on for a couple of hours. Your cabinets should have come with a touch up kit that you may need to use. When you caulk it, apply a very thin bead and try to squish it under the cabinet as much as possible. I'd use clear silicone.

Corian has its fans here, but its too plastic for me. Viatera has a few new marble look patterns that might also be worth your time to check out... Muse and Karis in particular. If you want more cream/beige than white/grey, there is Soprano which has the same (or very similar) pattern as Minuet.

A sink shoud NEVER be attached with just silicone or epoxy. That is 1000% installer error if that is how that was installed, which it appears to be. And 2cm stone requires a ply substrate, which also appears to be missing from this stone installation.Undermount sinks should aways have additional bracing from the cabinet itself. The Hercules Universal Sink Harness could support 1000 lbs because it doesn't rely on the bond between the stone and the sink for strength. Watch the video. http://www.braxton-bragg.com/index.cfm/m/1/fuseaction/store7catalog.level/bc/0,9096/ And that is just ONE of the proper install methods. Here are additional braces that could have been used. http://www.braxton-bragg.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/store7catalog.level/bc/0,8459,10475/ You need to raise 9 kinds of hell with the stone installer. It's their negligence that caused the failure. They need to clean up their mess.

Consumer reports is full of xxxp. They seem to only review the lower end of the market. I've strongly suspected they are on the take. I'm not the only one with this opinion. Throw out their reviews and start over. You will get good reviews here with a reasonable explanation as to how someone arrived at it. As I said, function first. If you are an avid cook, you want to buy the best tool, not the prettiest. I have no experience with Bertazonni. So, I can't give you any advice. I have cooked extensively on Thermador, Wolf, Viking, LeCornue and BlueStar. My preference would depend upon the specific model. I really like BlueStar. I'm all about the burner shape. It's a very simple unit that is pretty simple if a repair is needed. Thermador would be my second choice if you get the models with the star-shaped burners. LeCornue is lovely, but really, really expensive. Wolf is good and has good service. Viking okay when it works. (I've got a Viking in this house. Fortunately, it's working.)
